I have no problems with the home kit. I actually prefer it to the away, it's one of the nicest in the league. Wearing the away kit is more about making a statement about Lampardgate, than not liking the home kit.
To those still waiting for an nycfc.com order, I just called and cancelled mine. The issue is not getting them customized in time it's that they ran out of customization letters so they've stopped completely until they get a new shipment, whenever that is. Went to soccer.com and ordered it with the authentic lettering and used my gift card. Done and done.
That just seems absurd to me. How do you not at least have enough letters for every jersey you stock. Poor planning. And how long does it take to freakin produce these letters?
What percentage of jerseys do you think get customized?
In the US, I would guess a very high percentage. Someone mentioned this, think it was @Midas Mulligan, but why they should have customized jerseys ready to do. Makes no sense that they're applying the lettering after the order is placed.

As a man city fan just curious is lampard still liked or hated with you guys as nycfc/ mcfc don't come out of his move very well ?
^This. I get wearing black as a statement, but the home kit is a cleaner look. Then again, it won't matter much for opening day, won't see anything other than the black ski jacket and scarf.

I think now that the season has started, everything about Lampard will cool down a bit. When something like that happens in the offseason, its the ONLY thing to talk about, so it got really heated. There is still a ton of ill will towards him/NYCFC FO/MCFC around here, but I think most of us just want to get on with winning at this point.
I heard from some of me mates that there was good sport in taking the piss out of you blokes about Frank, any takers?

I'm not really sure wearing the black will make a statement. Not showing up and giving them ticket money (which I'm not advocating) would probably be the only thing that would make an impact.
As per Lampard. If he shows up and struggles for any reason be it fatigue or whatever I'm sure there will be boo boys. If he scores a bunch of goals and helps NYCFC gain points I don't think it will take long for people to forget.

Good god he was called fat frank nearly 20 years ago when he started out at west ham .it won't take you long to start calling him super Frankie lampard .

Serious question here what sort of player do you think your getting with lampard ?
In his prime he was a very very good midfielder who never had any pace but was an absolute absolute master at timing his runs to score to perfection.
The reason he left Chelsea was because time had caught up with him.
He was left with two options ether go to Melbourne or train with city whilst waiting for your season to start.
The training caught everyone by surprise and he ended up playing and scoring a few before Xmas.
Having watched him since Xmas he is provably finnished at EPL levels and certainly carnt play a full 90 mins .
What he will bring you his experience and a few goals but don't expect some super athlete .he will be a model pro and a great ambassador for your club.if you think he's going to be a superstar you'll be disappointed but he will be a very good pro/player for you
