I thought in England it was the War of German Aggression
Yeah, that was great. I was reading the BBC text commentary and most of the final few comments as full time approached were essentially little more than "COME ON, YOU CAN HOLD OUT A FEW MORE MINUTES!"
Schedule is about to get insane. Following international break there's 10 games in 32 days...
What will make it easier on us is having already qualified for knockouts. I think he plays the A team against Leicester and then Feyenoord on Tuesday he gives some rest and brings in if needed.
Also despite the games the opponents are manageable.
Huddersfield, Southampton, West Ham, Shakhtar and then United.
So if we go into the Shakhtar game with first place clinched we could rest everyone again to prepare for the United match.
Following United we play Swansea and then Tottenham 3 days later.
So there really isn't 2 games in a row with difficult opponents.
Win out, best United and Tottenham and you could call the league before Christmas.
Rest of the top 4 play nearly same amount of matches but the only team with a tough schedule is Tottenham. They'll have to face Arsenal and Dortmund in their next 2, only 3 days apart. They also play Leicester and us on 3 days rest.
Depth will play a key roll for all of the top 4 clubs since we're all involved in champions league play. I think we stand the best chance to make it out of this stretch in better form.

I agree with what you're saying, and as the saying goes "write them off at your peril", but Dortmund are on a really bad run of form at the moment and Spurs are going to play them at exactly the right time. I mean, their record in their last nine games is L-W-L-D-D-W-L-D-L and the most recent of the wins in there was against third division opposition. They don't exactly strike fear in my heart, and Poch might decide it's as good a game as any to rest a couple of players.
"Wow" is all I can say about that match. Raheem Sterling curls the ball into the upper corner with 15 seconds left in extra time. Man City now unbeaten in 27 matches in all competitions, ties the club record. Amazing match.
Can't canter away to every win, but it is slightly troubling that without three last-ditch Sterling goals in the last 7 days, we would have dropped six points. I know that they say that winning the tough games is the sign of a champion, but having to win every single game in the last few minutes is the sign of an early onset of angina...
Ugh. For general interest reasons, I'm going to have say something you'll be unlikely to hear from me ever again. Frankly, I don't think I've ever said this. But here goes:

Halfway through the post when you said you hoped the scum win I was still unsure which scum you meant.
Btw, let me echo Davo15's comments about watching City. Credit to them, as they are one of the few teams I enjoy watching these days. As one of the board's well-known "dippers", I am obviously envious of the success, but glad there's at least one other team in the PL that plays good football.
The thing about supporting either MC or LFC is there just aren't many other teams in any league or competition that can catch your eye.
Now, back to the inevitable title coming City's way, I think it's done. Only a rash of injuries could throw that off, and the only argument that might be tenable is that Pep hasn't rotated as much as he could/should have. That said, seems like he's taking the approach of getting so far out front that they might have it totally locked up before his critical pieces give out.
I do wonder, though, if we may see something akin to what always seemed to happen with Pep at Bayern. You're so far up in league play, it's hard to maintain sharpness for later stages of UCL. Not predicting that outcome, just saying that's what critics will warn.
Personally, I can see a path where either or both of MC and LFC have a deep, deep UCL run. LFC seems like a team built for European cup competition because they just aren't ever really out of a two-legged tie. And MC is just a juggernaut right now.
