Mcfc Confirms Lampard Staying In Manchester For The Season

So what solace should we take from that? It just makes them look more like devious pricks than before. So it really was an FFP scam all along? With an ownership group like that in charge, who could blame anyone for being pissed?

You're making the argument for us.

Why am I sober right now? Fuck it. I'm going to remedy this problem right now.

It's tantamount to a fraud that has been perpetrated by CFG. They presented Lampard in Brooklyn as a NYCFC player all the while they really know he is under contract with MCFC. That's completely fucked up and unforgivable.

As I understand it he will be a player on NYCFC just later then expected.

There should be a rule that you can't reply to this thread unless you are belligerently drunk.

In all seriousness tho, I thought id be a lot more mad than I am. I still love this team, and I love all the core guys we got thus far. Yeah it kinda feels like a slap in the face by lampard, but we can win without him.

For me it all comes down to trust and integrity. I am not even close to ready to jump ship, but this feels a little dirty to me. I hope this is just an aberration and not the beginning of a trend. I will watch and listen closely to what is said, what is done, and where we go from here, and hope I can continue to be as excited as I was for March before this Lampard circus. Stay tuned, I guess. And glory glory MUtd (sorry, couldn't help it.)

So Andre, now that we know his contract wasn't really ending today, why NOW do you think they waited for New Year's Eve night? lol

Apologist to the end....

No idea but I am sure that you have a half crocked theory. I honestly don't care why they timed it this way. Could have been at MCFC's request, could have been at NYCFC's request, hell it could have been at Lampard's request or the Third Rail for all we know. It doesn't matter why the timing of it. People were going to get upset over it regardless.

threads been cleaned. If you don't like it here please pack up and leave. If you're surprised by NYCFC fans ripping on your 'other' team go to EVERY single forum DEDICATED to 1 club and you'll see the same.
Thank you.

Thank you.

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

What you need to appreciate is that 99.9999999% of people on this board, whilst interested in the whole global club process, and supportive of the presence of "City" clubs in America, Australia, Japan etc, are really only concerned with what benefits Manchester City Football Club. Ultimately we don't care whether NYCFC suffers due to Lampard's absence, or whether their fans feel cheated or pissed off. We, and it would seem, our owners, believe Lampard can help us achieve something this season. That's why he's here on loan until the end of the season. You can't expect to come on here with a very North American centric opinion, talking about how it's a disgrace, and expect people to agree, or really give a shit. We're Manchester City fans, that's the club that comes first, so if someone else misses out in order for us to benefit, so be it.

This will soon blow over. we already have DAVID VILLA with some eds players from city coming soon and another dp signing on the way. supporters should get behind their team which represents their city instead of turning their back on nycfyc because frank decided to extend his stay at city. Also as the other person said this will not matter in the long run and there is no way that this will affect the season as top players can play in any side.
What exactly has NYCFC done to date that in any way makes them a New York club made for the people of New York? Please. I'm waiting.

Because it sure as hell seems like this is a AAA club for the people of CITEH.

This will definitely affect the opinion of NYCFC in the long run. I don't know if you are from here but New Yorkers are loyal and expect the same of those who play for our teams. Sure people can say the Yankees are akin to CFG in that we "bought" championships, but in all actuality the Yankees core through our championship years were guys who started with the club, identified with the club, and at any cost wanted to stay with the club.

Frank doesn't want to be here, so just do us all a favor and don't bother showing up at any point after March 8th. In a City with many other options to cheer for, if NYCFC/CFG wants to be taken seriously, then NYCFC can't act luck a bunch of suckers, or treat their fans the same way.

Fair enough. Seeing it from a purely unbiased perspective it seems as if nycfc got the short end of the stick but in the long run from a "footballing perspective" it will not affect nycfc. But if NY fans feel really upset about it, I think City should release Frank from contract before the home opening game. I am not from New York (though I will be supporting nycfc) so I don't know how the people will react but from an outsiders perspective it seems blown out of proportion.

Hopefully, they will release him. We desperately need to have a full complement of DPs, not some old guy who is coming over to piddle around and get a few more paychecks.

I would point out that we were promised 3, but that means nothing obviously.

Where you from, MrButtons?

The SSS is just a dream right now. We have zero idea if it's a reality or if it's all talk, and I'd bet it's closer to "all talk".

The academy affiliates are a start, but I'd imagine there's a good bit of a scouting network being set up for Manchester locally. And that's not something you can put on a billboard, to be frank.
