Mcfc Confirms Lampard Staying In Manchester For The Season

In my opinion, Lampard gets a lot of the blame here because he could have easily stopped this nonsense. It's clear now where his priorities are. I'm never for booing players, but this will be the first time that I do. I hope NYCFC just ends the contract, gets the DP spot back, so we can move on. They all have to be nuts if they think this is going to work out. NYC will never let it go.

Also, the rumors that suggest that Lampard never even signed with NYCFC are concerning. If that's true then NYCFC lied to all of us in making us think he was an NYCFC player.

Mcfc AAA says on its website that FL is on the roster as a DP. No idea who to believe here but if there is not 3 DP on the filed (unless injuries accur) I will request a refund.

Nycfc should announce that cfg and FL decided that FL will play for MCFC and will not be a NYCFc player. Therefore there are two DP spots open which we intend to fill.

just think, at least you didn't have to change your name and colors. you guys are a lot better looked after compared to us, just think how we felt when David Villa was withdrawn early to take some photos (we didn't mind him leaving from a football perspective but it has put media and new fans offside completely)
Have a look at our situation especially for the fact you guys haven't even played a game yet. Then you can talk about struggling to find a connection to a club.

Nope, the only thing it says about are those pussies running away because they are concerned what people will think about them and their new club. There is a name for such over here in Europe - plastics. Real fans stay with their club through everything, if Man City fans cared what other clubs fans thought about them back when they were in 3rd league and now when they're champions they'd leave 20 years ago. I understand that you might be pissed about this, I'd be probably if situation is opposite but to see people saying they won't support NYCFC because of this is bordering with circus, lol.

bitsmith you have to think about who we are as fans and people. Many of the mcfc fan posts talk "about whats good for the group" and the situation "will benefit NYCFC in the long run" . The British are from a society that has been told to shut up and take one for the team if it is good masses.(the Spock thing, long eared star trek Spock not the Dr. Spock kid doctor) We are not. The only time we as americans will line up and drink the koolaid is in a time of war.
It's in our blood to be pissed off and feel slighted at the least little thing because we are a nation built on adversity.
My mom is 1/4 english 1/4 irish 14/ and my dad italian but 1/2 calabrian an 1/2 sicilian.
so you can understand it My mom was (English- do what your told) (Irish-stab the fuckers who told you to do as your told)
Dad is 1/2 calabrian (be thankful your in a new country) and 1/2 sicilian(don't trust anybody)
drunk now 730 am getting ready to finish drinking for the night
as soccer grows in the US in the next 20 years the epl will become a 3rd level league

You realize we had to recall Villa early because they were in the process of stealing Lampard?

To me, they knew then that Lampard wasn't coming....

Glad to hear from Melbourne, would like to see more of you here.

well lampard was meant to come to us anyways until the FFA (governing body) changed the rules at the last second.
Tbh I don't blame them for holding on to him, they are losing yaya for a month so he may as well stay there and keep some match fitness

A month we would have been ok with, too, but May is a bit more than a month, so how do you not blame them?

i don't blame FL for staying, let's be honest here, he's playing at a top league and doing great! I personally just got into Football a couple months ago, and was ready to follow this team from the gate. the biggest issue here is the lack of transparency, or flat out lying. as it stands FL wasn't even part of NYCFC, yet they use him and Villa as the biggest selling points of the team. that is a huge blow for many potential new followers,(notice I didn't say fans), not because of the player himself, but because you lie to sell some tees and tickets. you put his face in Times Square, all over the website. those season tickets were being sold to me over the phone with a starting value of $306, with Villa and Lampard as the selling point from the salesperson. without that package you're already losing value with that announcement made last night. that and I didn't even think of Melbourne FC issue with those Villa jerseys. i take it very personal when anyone lies to me, it shows a lack of respect. but i get it, business first. but something to remember, there's no business without the people you're trying to get business from.

you realise both villa and Lampard are your players? you have merely loaned Frank to man c and Villa was a "guest stint" over here. To be honest you guys as a fanbase are coming across as a bunch of spoilt kids, Just using us as an example, we were told we would be able to keep our identity and our small history would be respected but cfg has gone to the lengths of even photoshopping our old logo of a fans hat because it was going onto the website. All they have done to you is not have plans for what they are doing with one of your players. The whole Villa debacle pisses us off because we sold thousands of memberships based on the fact he would be here for 10 games and they got 4. I personally wasn't a fan of him coming over anyways but it just annoyed me we built our membership drive around him

In case you are wondering where the flood of new members are coming from, blue moon, full of the nouveau riche city fans, are having a right jolly good time reveling in our misery, and a bunch are coming over to see the fun themselves.

Now we know from the press reports Lampard is not under contract with NYCFC and has never been under contract with NYCFC. Its January 1st and we have 1 DP under contract (we think) with plans to add Lampard as a 2nd DP in Juneish after his contract with MCFC runs out. That is not good enough for a team that we expect to be able to compete with and beat the best teams in MLS by Week 2 of the season. If this change in plans means we have a 3rd DP like Schneider or someone else of the quality of Villa or Lampard from Week 1 instead of a typical MLS DP signing I will be happy, but anything less is a terrible start for NYCFC. The 3rd DP has to make supporters not mind so much that one of our 2 star players doesn't want to be with the Club for the first half of the season.

question would you rather play the best league in the world for the last remaining time that you will be able to? or would you rather move early to the new club which is in a league with to be fair wouldnt be in the top 5-10 leagues in the world (not saying the aussie league is either)
