There’s nothing better than an away day. And there’s no better away day than in the playoffs.

Third Rail tickets go on sale at 4 PM. Tickets purchase through the Third Rail are guaranteed for their allotment.

We're going to sell through our away allotment of 200 tickets very quickly (Think back to last year’s Philly game). So if you want to go, buy early.

Tuesday's FanDuel line:

Montreal+100; Draw +240; NYCFC +230 (lowest of away teams in Conference Semifinals, next as of now is Dallas at +260 at Austin)

FiveThirtyEight

Montreal 64%; NYCFC 36% (greatest probability for an away team)

Spoke to my rep. CF Montréal gave us the minimum MLS requires. Our allotment sold out in four minutes.
Always happens with away team allocation in regular sized MLS stadiums during the playoffs (except for MLS Cup, since MLS controls the tickets). If you want to go, it may be pricier, but check StubHub or another third party seller. Buy in/near Section 112.

Interesting how the west really lined up their rivalries for the semis. East will have to wait for the finals and then only if NYCFC and Philly both advance.
LAFC has only been in MLS since 2018. LAFC and LA Galaxy have both made the playoffs during the same season only twice. Both times they will/have played each other in the playoffs.

NYCFC joined MLS in 2015. NYCFC and Red Bulls have both made the playoffs 7 times and have never played each other in the playoffs.

ETA: Gotham Gator Gotham Gator beating me by a second, lol

It's interesting to see who we have faced:
Toronto: 2016, 2019
Columbus: 2017
Philadelphia: 2018, 2021
Atlanta: 2018, 2021
Orlando: 2020
New England: 2021
Portland: 2021
Miami: 2022
Montréal: 2022 (this weekend)

Eastern Conference teams we have never faced in the playoffs:
NJ, Chicago, Cincinnati, Nashville, DC, Charlotte

+ Number of times said team showed up in the playoffs in a year we were there:
NJ - 7
Chicago - 1
Cincinnati - 1
Nashville - 2
DC - 3
Charlotte - 0

So in order of most to least avoidances it's:
NJ, DC, Nashville, Cinci, Chicago, Charlotte.

NJ is a ridiculously huge outlier.

REF: Drew Fischer
AR1: Cory Richardson
AR2: Oscar Mitchell-Carvalho
4TH: Jon Freemon
VAR: Chris Penso
AVAR: Craig Lowry

Last time Drew Fischer was the referee in Canada, we got screwed.

I thought it was:

"Last time [insert referee name] was the referee [wherever our game was played], we got screwed."

That VAR overturn of the penalty in Toronto is still shocking. PRO admitted to a mistake.

It's a good refereeing crew, but I just pray for no mistakes or controversies.

I guess I'm an optimist because my version of the joke limited it to losses. :D

Wednesday's FanDuel line. Slight move from yesterday

Montreal-105; Draw +240; NYCFC +240

If you're traveling, the hotel to book will be Le Westin Montreal. Third Rail booked rooms for members. There will be a meet up probably Saturday night but certainly Sunday morning for traveling NYCFC fans.

Man. the watch party tickets sold so quickly.

Anyone wanna do our own watch party somewhere in the city or queens or something?
