MLS is Back Tournament - 2020

I do not think it will be reasonable for MLS to continue the regular season in local markets after this tournament. I think that MLS may either cancel the 2020 season at that point or continue the entire regular season and playoffs within the bubble of Disney World.

If MLB can do it, I think we should be Gucci.

"Mickey mouse league" takes on a whole new definition.

Good luck persuading the players/players' union to agree to that second option.

"Yeah babe, I'll see you and the kids again sometime in November, we just have to finish the series against FC Cincinnati."

Oh, I know. MLSPU will never sign off on that.

But the reason why the bubble works is because everyone involved in the operations from TV personnel to the referees to the staff are in isolation. That's harder to control when working in local markets, especially people that work in the stadium and interact with the players, directly or indirectly.

red bulls getting spanked by the crew. they can't even get a shot on goal into the 74th minute. are the crew that good now? or are the red bulls that bad? or are they having a shit game like did? heh

Porter got the tactics exactly right, nullifying the press and exploiting their weaknesses. Plus CLB has some great players.

Looking at this tournament, Columbus could contend for the East title, with Philly and Toronto also in the mix. Orlando and Chicago seem better than expected. NYC and Atlanta are the disappointments.

What would our team look like right now if they hired Porter to replace Dome?
