Plus all those people that are trading in the RBA games that have to use those credits for this one.Going to this one with two friends! Super excited! Philly games are always a blast. I also have to assume as it's with our second biggest rival, the attendance (and supporter section) is gonna be very good, even though it's a wednesday night.
...That's my hope, anyway.
Hypothetically, if we were to hypothetically win this game, I would hypothetically be happy. It would be perfect for the 2021 MLS Cup champions to beat the hypothetical 2021 MLS Cup champions.
Hypothetically, of course.
This match had total 2016 Toronto playoff home match vibes from the awful goaltending to the thought that every offensive foray from the other team would result in a goal (and it pretty much did looking at the momentum chart). Yikes.Went to my first match since early in the summer and it was probably the worst home loss I've seen since the playoff match in 2016 vs Toronto. The defense is atrocious and has mental lapses regularly. The offense has no creativity or quickness. It stagnates in the final third most of the time and just recycles back to Freese. The midfield has taken a giant step back. WTF happened to Sands? I feel like he came back from Rangers worse than when he left. This club has too many "projects" and not enough proven players.
I used to always stay to the end no matter what - 7-0, Toronto 5-0, and now I find myself leaving early (was close to leaving at halftime but left when Philly scored the fourth).Either I’ve matured or I’ve just gotten used to the malaise of the play. I’m no longer mad or upset when we are scored upon and not excited or cheerful when we score. I just know the inevitable of the yearly result of this club and I’m know we’re stuck and know nothing is being done about it.
