I’ve only seen her ref one time, and she seemed pretty on top of the teams’ emotions. But tonight maybe a different case due to the nature of the match. She seemed to call a lot of fouls

red bulls aren't as hacky as they have been in the past... but if the ref can keep this game from turning into a choppy, hack job kind of game, i'm all for it.
LionNYC is our resident ref expert but I'd say Chris Penso is a long time MLS ref that imo is one of those refs that likes to make himself the center of attention especially in big games. Any alternate Penso is preferred.

Fotmob has it a 4-3-3 with Haak basically slotting in for Risa/Tanasijevic, Maxi on the left wing and a Perea/Sands/Parks midfield.
As I said in the chat, I hate to see it. I know we make the "hahaha empty bowl" jokes but I really don't want to see our biggest rival not be able to fill a stadium against us. Kinda depressing.

Couldn't have asked for much more out of this one. We're really growing into our potential now.

What a beatdown. We brought the energy and were direct, constantly taking it to them. Such a nice change from previous derbies where we looked sleepy against an opponent hopped up on its product.
