New York Cosmos surive & move to Coney Island

Guess I gotta change the name of this thread.

It's like that evil villain in a movie that doesn't seem to die, no matter what you do to him.

At least when we play them in US Open Cup, if NASL is playing in the Open Cup, we'll have home field advantage playing at a baseball stadium...

Doing a quick Google map search, MCU Park and Red Bull Arena are both ~90 minutes from where I live by public transportation.

its like you guys dont know politicians.

still a pain in the ass going there like from where i am if i got nothing to do on a summer day i may go

It's funny that f.cosmos will now be playing close to f.society (Mr. Robot)

Let me paint you the grim realities...

Mid June 80 degree day on a Saturday....

NY Cosmos vs what ever non bankrupt team rival from the NASL.......

their small supporters will arrive early and go set up the section inside MCU.....

by half time they will look towards the boardwalk the beach and see millions of people in the distance the sounds of a crowded astroland and screams from the decrepit cyclones ride.......

2nd half kicks off and they will gaze upon a 75% empty MCU...........this will ALWAYS BE THE NORM... a MCU thats always 75% empty regardless of how cold or hot it may be on game day.....

but the idiotic 5 points still wont grasp the concept..... THAT NO ONE IN NYC GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT MINOR LEAGUES..............OR MINOR LEAGUE SOCCER TEAMS........ OR NASL.........

#FACTS #REALITY

Because they still send me emails since I went to that USOC match. Interesting. Their atmosphere is going to suck with only 2 ends of the field covered.

They're not going to get enough attendance to keep those sections open anyhow. Just like we don't open the third and fourth tier of Yankee Stadium for most matches.

Probably why they aren't even offering the endline. Only time that probably gets used is a USOC match vs us or NJ.

What is the available seating capacity in that configuration? 3k? Are they really setting their bar that low?

Ehh its a 7500 seater and it looks like they've got most of it open. Id guess 5500 once you count the general admission area.

Of course the stadium has 2500 of standing room that you can open up if necessary, so they're filling her to right around half way, with a sold out crowd.
