Just a bit odd, the club knows more on this matter than we do. I’m sure no one would of batted an eye if his name wasn’t on the list of people. Why should it be? He has bigger obligations.
If they know he’s talking to Nice and there is a chance he isn’t here as soon as a week from now then it’s very dumb of them.

Placeholder for NYC coach of the moment. Whomever takes over takes that spot. That’s all.

We're talking about something the marketing team is doing -- of course they're going to enlist the head coach in an event like this. This has nothing to do with the sporting department.

He's here until he isn't. As long as he's here, he participates in these events. The team isn't going to pass on having him participate because maybe, perhaps, who knows whether he's leaving in the next couple weeks. That's just silly.

If Vieira does leave soon after the Atlanta game, I think it is likely that the timing was tied to the limited or no compensation deal that NYCFC was reported to have given to Nice. He stays 2-3 additional weeks, does transition work with his replacement in secret, and then the successor has 2 weeks before the first game.

And that’s why no one has been calling. The deal was done weeks ago.

Fuck us.

It’d be Nice to wake up to a new manager sometime very, very soon. Hopefully, one who recognizes being on time to sign sky blue poop bags at Mo’s Cheap Shoes From Last Season doesn’t qualify you to wear the arm band.

Fwiw Team Christopher Jee and Patrick Vieira have mutually agreed to part ways. TCJFC cited incredibly boring and repetitive interviews.

Not sure how legitimate RMC Sports talk is in France. It might be the Mike Francesa of France and they BS their way through, but they are allegedly* saying that Patrick/NYCFC is waiting to announce he is leaving until NYCFC has hired his replacement. Which you have to assume that means his assistants are also leaving.

*I say allegedly as I used google translate so it's 50/50 that it's correct.

So if Patrick says “I’m going to Nice” today, then no fucking way he is coaching against Atlanta. You are either the coach or you are not the coach - no “I’ve taken the job but will hang around for a few days.”

every rumor is saying he will coach vs atlanta then leave (since our mini break starts there) so i dont think he will say he is going to Nice today
