I was really surprised to see that after 17 matches, the halfway point in the season, Taty was 3rd on the team. Also, for all that we criticized Jesus, it wasn't just that he scored early in the season, but watching that all goals video, what struck me was how much quality there was in his scoring for the first half of the season. Whether it's lost confidence, or regression to the mean, or a tale of two seasons, the Jesus of the first half didn't just get lucky, he looked really good (as did Shradi before he totally flatlined).

ETA: Fixed typo.

Random side thought. Is this the first year we only had one 10-goal scorer?
Edit: besides 2015.

This is why so many of us were down on Taty in the early part of the season. I think I remember his chances were just as good, if not better. But he didn’t convert. Then something switched on for him

Heh. I was very down on him as a striker by the pumas game. (cc SoupInNYC) I take it back. I'm just worried he can be streaky as a striker.
