Really hoping Jacobson is the first spot we fill this offseason. If we keep him for depth then fine, but holy fuck we need a real CDM.

Not sure what Jacobson was trying to accomplish tonight. Maybe he just wanted to put us out our misery.
I mean I'm pretty sure if he hadn't touched that ball it would have gone out or at the very least rolled away from goal harmlessly. Instead he chose to bring it down for Saborio, probably his best offensive contribution of the season. Too bad it was for the wrong team.

What killed the team today was "missed offensive opportunities." Villa had a few in both halves resulting in no goals. Pirlo's set pieces also left a lot to be desired. On the positive, i saw eleven guys hustling there butts off and trying to kept their playoff hopes alive! As per substitutes did anyone make a positive impact on the games outcome? I don't think so! As per DC United…first goal, bad defending, they "watched" while three DC United players attacked the rebound. Second goal…pure luck…as the defender accidentally knocks the ball toward the goal and into the path of Saborio. Game set - Match!
All 3 of our subs were just about as invisible as Grabavoy once they came on. Really no impact at all. As good as those 3 have been this season, they didn't show up when it mattered most. I think I would've gone with Mullins over Khiry.

I saw the first 65 minutes and missed the last 2 DC goals. Just watched the highlights. The final goal was unbelievable, all that Jacobsen needs to do is tie up his man, instead he plays a perfect knock down right to Sabo.
Someone should lock Kreis in a room Clockwork Orange style and have him watch that play over and over again to convince him that AJ is not AJ90. Seriously.

Agree that Villa was profligate. We completely shut down, movement-wise in the second half. Our midfielders couldn't get into space at all. Also Saunders needs to stop pushing balls into dangerous areas. Sometimes it feels like he's just trying to rack up his save count.

I don't think we currently have anyone to put in that Jacobson spot, besides maybe mix. We really aught to lock him up clockwork orange style in regards to Grabavoy, but that could backfire. At least he'd be wearing a cup to hide his Gra-boner.
I'm sorry but Grabavoy was the worst player on the field tonight. Completely useless offensively and defensively. Giveaways and no touches all friggin night...and year. He's no more than a spot sub hack.

Horrible clearance and it blows my mind how players just stand there instead of moving to an open spot to receive a pass.
