What's the attraction to flares and smoke?

I came to see a game, not sit in a cloud of smoke. It doesn't even look cool....

No one can actually see anything woooo!

And it doesn't really match what's happening on the field. Let's face it, soccer isn't exactly a bloodsport...

Is that right? Poles no longer than 12 inches? Signs no larger than 11 x 17 inches?

that's what their site says
Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Tifo? When I think tifo, it apparently has a different meaning.
From Wikipedia: "Tifo, originally the Italian word for the phenomenon of supporting a sport team, is mostly used as a name for any choreography displayed by fans in the stands of an arena or stadium in connection with a sport event, mostly as part of an association football match. "

For the most part, it's a fucking massive banner

I know, what's the point in bringing a sign that's not even a foot by a foot and a half?

Who would see it? Lol

That's inexplicable.

LOL, then why bother.

Gotcha. I think of tifosi when I hear tifo.

At least they're allowing a big banner, that will make it look a little better. A shame banners can't be hung around the place.

Maybe if enough people carry small signs, it can read a big Fuck Frank Lampard from afar.
Seriously, those watching MLS for longer, did any other expansion team have to deal with all the shit we're dealing with?
