Same Boring Frank Lampard Thread 2.0

Except they are playing him though, aren't they? Not very much, but he's playing. I somehow doubt they'd waste a roster space, and deny other squad members playing time (scant as it may be) just to "save face". Clearly they think he's an important piece of the squad, otherwise they'd be bringing some other multi-millionaire off the bench.

All things considered, unless you believe MCFC feels some sort of magnanimous duty of care to NYCFC (spoilers: they don't), and would consider jeopardizing their season one iota just to help us out, this is actually the best outcome we can hope for - the less football Frank plays now, the less rest he'll need when the English season finishes.
So we're supposed to be understanding and supportive when they're fucking us over?

I don't see what's supportive about my post right there, but understanding? Sure - they signed the guy! I hate the situation we're in, and I especially hate how it was handled by NYCFC, but no amount of internet rage at MCFC is going to change it now.

They signed the guy 6 months after they said they had signed him when it finally came out that they lied to us all.

Uhhh....no.

First of all, we signed him. He's said as much. He signed for CFG(not ManCity) with the intent to play for New York City and only New York City. He did not sign for Manchester City, they hijacked him.

This is straight from his mouth.

May is almost upon us and the MLS Transfer window closes in a couple of weeks. This is important because if Frank doesn't come before the window closes he won't until July. There's a lot of hate towards Frank but I want him here ASAP.

He is not coming before the Premier League season ends. From the time that he extended his stay at Man City, the plan has been for him to start playing here in late July or early August. Nothing has changed.

As has been said many times already, Man City still have plenty to play for in terms of securing a Champions League spot; so they will not relinquish an important squad player and sometime starter. But, even if their Champions League spot had been wrapped up and they didn't need Lampard anymore, he still would need time off after having been in first-team training non-stop since last July. He'd still need a month or two off.

There will be plenty of time left in our inaugural season when he comes.

If NYCFC had a sack, they would be all over MCFC right now trying to convince them to release Lampard so he can get here now. The way the team has been playing, they desperately need his old ass. They fuckin' owe it to us to do the right thing here.

No one owes us anything. Haven't you learned?

I'm going to have to see your EC membership card to make sure you are properly identified as such.

If the ECs are as bad as TR with their cards, you should get your founding member hard plastic copy around this time next season.

[QUOTE="Drainyoo, post: 68044, member: 310"]It would probably still get here before Frankie Baby.[/QUOTE

Both of your bantering at least makes me smile and eases yesterday's heartache!:)

Don't be shocked to see Frank after May 10th. With Swansea and Southampton left they can do it without him.

It would be ridiculous to keep him for those last two matches and would inflict more unnecessary harm to NYC - but that is exactly what I have come to expect out of MCFC. Sooo I will rest my voice for my August "Boos" although based upon this past Sunday's Game of Thrones - I wouldn't mind bringing back the "Mereen Hiss".
