If they end up giving the GAL owners the money they want sure. CFG said they would pay for the relocation and building of the new factory.Seriously, what are the odds that this whole elevator company idea is really in the works? Is it possible that we are in negotiations, and everything could be close to settled relatively soon, they just don't want to leak it like last time?
If NYCFC draws well at YS then the local community could become an advantage for us. The bars, food spots, and merch sellers wouldn't want to lose all that foot traffic. The stadium needs to be next to Yankee Stadium. There are too many synergies between the operations of the two teams in terms of retail, food, etc. that require them to be close by.

I feel that playing at Yankee Stadium for several years will indirectly showcase how well it does at that location. After such years there will have bred a sense of culture and identity in the borough which will inevitably get a deal done next to the stadium.
Yes but a population that favors baseball over soccer by miles. And excuse me for maybe being uneducated in this department, but isn't the area around YS a dominantly hispanic area? I feel this would be a great population to support a soccer stadium.
That's a bit of a stretch. I think it's more target marketing by them. Predominantly, affluent, male, geographically targeted demographic at a fairly inexpensive cost.I am just going to say this. Mind you it's been a few weeks since the last away game but did anyone else notice the commercials for the Casino over at Aqueduct that aired during that match? Just saying something to watch for during the Philly match on YES. It leads me to believe that Aqueduct is where they are going.
Maybe maybe not. I know what I am pulling for. That's a bit of a stretch. I think it's more target marketing by them. Predominantly, affluent, male, geographically targeted demographic at a fairly inexpensive cost.

CFG should just throw an obscene amount of money at the city for a piece of Central Park and build the stadium there. I'm a huge fan of public spaces/parks and use them regularly, but outside of a dozen days a year where it happens to a weekend/holiday and the weather is perfect, the huge city parks are very much underutilized. Even if an NYCFC game were happening on one of those days, people would still be able to enjoy the other 95% of the park like they always do, completely unaffected.
By the way, I know that there is almost 0% chance of this happening, but I think that it benefits all parties involved without hurting the general public that has no direct interest either.
The Latinos in that area are Puerto Ricans and Dominicans, and as BxLio91 stated, are far more into baseball than soccer. And excuse me for maybe being uneducated in this department, but isn't the area around YS a dominantly hispanic area? Haha, and that's why it will probably never happen. Because the people who live across the street from Central Park are the most influential type of NIMBY.If thinking this would be awful makes me a NIMBY, then by god I'm a NIMBY. That is something I'd expect to see in a dystopic scifi novel where the Financial District is underwater.
