Am I crazy to think that given we're in a "transition" year and not terribly likely to compete for a top spot in the East we should actually prioritize the USOC as much as we are able to?

Remember last year when Vieira was like "this year we're gonna try in the open cup!"i dont think we have not "tried" in the US open cup, we just sucked.
No, but I remember how we chose not to have the opportunity to play any home games no matter how far we got in the Cup.Remember last year when Vieira was like "this year we're gonna try in the open cup!"

Last year we were the only MLS club to say we would not host US Cup games -- every year prior to that we were in the mix for home games (game).iirc last year YS was available and we did apply to host, i dont think we would of gone to fordham, banned, because of what happened vs the cosmos like three years ago.

They did two rounds of the draw at once, so the commitment was to host either or both of the first two rounds we played.
What happened at Fordham again?iirc last year YS was available and we did apply to host, i dont think we would of gone to fordham, banned, because of what happened vs the cosmos like three years ago.
We lost. What happened at Fordham again?
I was at that game and it appeared things were pretty civil.

I remember that part...We lost.
That's a drag. It would be cool if they did a tour around NYC's stadiums for the open cup. Like Ichan Stadium, MCU Park, Wien Stadium, etc.nah some stuff went down between supporters pre game

Would be a headache coordinating all that though.
Not unexpected but still a great development for the US Open Cup. Its a cool tournament that so many American fans of soccer know nothing about. I will be watching more games.

With Dome, we’re doomed no matter who we draw
