Yeah, they obviously have no sense on how the crowds go for stuff at a soccer game, they are used to baseball rhythms for sure. I would hope they learn and adjust. It's a process (as is everything).

Their security didn't know shit. Me and Matt went to sit in our seats and they're like you can't go down there without a wrist band go over two sections. We go over and they're like no you need to go down there to legends. We go to legends and they say sorry you're not legends seats. Uhm no shit but it says 14A can I sit there or not? Then Mike Quarino was there and we waited 5 minutes while he was on his walkie and cellphone and then took pictures of my card and sent it to security to let them know we aren't legends seats and may be seated without wrist bands.
Was fine afterwards. But yeah by the time I got in line at the concession and got my hot chocolate and got back to seat they had kicked off already. Only 1 person working one of the concessions.

I think with the shitshow today, they can make adjustments for next time but it's never good to make a bad first impression.

I went to the post match meet and greet. That place was so unorganized. Players would come out behind a curtain and fans would surround them for a photo, autograph, etc. No lines at all. Nothing like a properly run meet and greet like the team did at Modells. Some less known players were there at the beginning. Then, I waited for 90 minutes then Villa came out and he goes back in before I'm close to getting an autograph. I left after that, it was nearly 8:45 and didn't see the point of staying.
I spent 1000 Cityzens points for two tickets for the meet and greet. I will be writing an email to fan services explaining how unorganized and mishandled this was. I'd like my Cityzens points back.

I'm so sick of hearing stuff like this. I'm beyond the point where I'm even giving credit to the ticket reps for being professional and attentive. It's about time they started running the fan side of this business with some professionalism and competence.
Reminds me of the pics of the wrinkled tees in the locker room. For all of CFG's money we're constantly reminded about, you'd think shit like that wouldn't happen.
I would think in future games, they could set something up in the 300 or 400 seats to get a higher angle. Might not be that east because of the need to run cables, etc., but I have to think they can make it work.
Fantastic experience yesterday. My only complaint was that clusterfuck at the gates trying to get into the building. Since when do they have metal detectors at Yankee Stadium? I've been hauling ass up there for 2 or 3 years now and I've never seen them used before.
The only thing I can think of is they used metal detectors during the colder months when everyone is wearing heavy coats etc.......hopefully when the warmer weather arrives (T Shirt & shorts weather) they'll do away with them.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I go to Yankees games every so often and not once did I have to go through a metal detector...quite odd but you make a good point with it being cold right now. They need to fix that

It was my understanding that metal detectors are standard for the stadium - at any rate, which gate were you trying to get in? If Gate 6, I'd recommend walking around to the other ones - we went through 4 and it didn't take long - realized my seats are by Gate 2 so I'll walk all the way around next time - it became a bottleneck at Gate 6 because the subways let off right there
Yesterday was the first time the metal detectors were ever used at the stadium. i'm a season ticket holder and i've never had to go though one before.
Said this in another thread, but no soccer stadium can. YOu need to head to the bathroom and concessions 5 minutes before if you want something. Think about it, no one wants to miss any action so at half you have 35,000 people going to get stuff and pee.
Considering we just beat the defending Eastern Conference champs yesterday 2 - Nil, there's a lot bitching and moaning going on.

He says, "Oh, so are you friends with Ty?" I'm like.... Uhhhh, I am Ty. It was David Hiller, my ticket rep. He knew my name and where I sit. Class.

I think people just want to see a few changes made to the entry to the stadium process .As far as the food and bathrooms go well , halftime is always going to be crowded, but when they start bring more food items to the stands for sale that should help.There was no in-seat wait service yesterday in the field level seats, the stadium is not fully staffed or stocked yet.
Well he's my rep too and I got no visit so BOO.
Seriously, that's pretty cool. Especially if he makes his way through all of us he's responsible for over the course of the next several games.

I had a really fantastic time, but there are definitely some improvements to be made to the gameday experience.
