14 years ago I didn’t really follow soccer or know who Bob Bradley was.
Ok. That was clearly a horrible call. And that ref should be suspended. But that coach should be suspended for a loooooong time.

no whistle yet. gotta play to the whistle. there was another player in black that potentially could have fought for the ball had the defender not picked it up? maybe that's what the ref was thinking? either way, no whistle yet and he picked it up so easy hand ball call.
edit: also possible the ref didn't think it was a foul and didn't blow the whistle

Julian Green took the second PK, I haven't heard that name in a while.
I think this is the main part of it. Player was punished for picking the ball up before the whistle. We see this happen all the time on iffy calls when it's not clear if the ref already blew or not, you know the one. The player gets fouled and he or another player quickly grabs the ball. If it doesn't get called, the play doesn't stop. But usually the play either gets stopped there and sometimes that influence's the ref's decision.
Yeah. The whole video is a bundle of surprises. First there's the initial penalty, which is hilarious and worth a video all by itself. Then, there is the second penalty, which you don't see coming at all because you think the video is just about the first penalty. Then, you get to see Julian Green for the first time in a long while. That's the cherry on top.
