2017 General MLS Transfer Rumors

Wow what the hell are they thinking in Whitecap land?

Edit: OK this is a little better deal for Vancouver than I thought. Sounds like he wasn't going to sign a long term deal with the caps.

"Whitecaps FC acquired midfielder Tony Tchani from Columbus Crew SC, $225,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, and $75,000 in General Allocation Money, in exchange for winger/forward Kekuta Manneh. In the event Crew SC signs Manneh to a new contract, then Vancouver will also receive Columbus' natural first round MLS SuperDraft selection in the immediately following draft. Furthermore, Whitecaps FC will receive additional General Allocation Money if Manneh is traded by Columbus prior to December 31, 2018 and Vancouver will retain a percentage of any future transfer fee if Manneh is transferred outside of MLS"
Going to be interesting to see how Columbus changes tactically. I'm assuming they will now switch to a 2 forward lineup with Manneh and Kamara up top.

I also didn't even notice that Tchani had not made the 18 for Columbus all year.

If only they would have taken Mix off our hands for him.

Think this will shut Doyle and Co. the fuck up about Finley deserving callups? That guy needs to play innternational football about as much as me and Brosky.

I cannot imagine he would get along with Dos Santos. GDS is not going to be happy playing second fiddle.
Nah - Gio would be ecstatic to have a true center forward to play off of. Gio is much more of a 9.5. That was the issue with he and Keane - they both wanted to play the same role.

How has this stayed off the board? Fox Deportes reported late last night that the deal was happening (?) - can't verify that's exactly what they said because no habla espanol.

It's as if Kreis is unaware that there are other players out there that haven't played for RSL

He probably tried to get Beckerman, but his hair would be terrible in Orlando.

All the guys that Kreis wanted in 14/15 are either retired or he realizes are too old.

Weird thing is that he never played Gil at RSL and when he did it was out of position. Lots of folks blame Kreis for Gil petering out based upon his potential as a late teen.

Luis Gil is the Hispanic Mix Diskerud

Mix is a much better player than Gil. I know you don't like him, but he's influenced some important games for the US. But as far as how Kreis played them, yeah, a little bit.
