2022 Season Ticket Thread

FYI, haven't confirmed, but one of the folks on FB noted that the Jlab card in the box is actually for a free set of earbuds, not just a discount.

Edit: looks like the earbuds are $20, so with the discount they are free

if you scan the front code it takes you to a $20 product. so the discount code would have to be applied and its "free" . there is no shipping within the US.

What am I doing wrong?

my guess is they suddenly realized they were giving away ear buds and making $0. so changed it to require an order more than $20 to use the code.

I tried it on a $30 item and it is also invalid. I tried it on two $20 items ($40) and code doesn't work. I tried a $20 and $30 item ($50 total) and the code works.

So, I guess the minimum is $50.

lol damn. but it makes no sense on their part, the code literally took you to that product. they wanted you to do this.

Yea. But the thing is, they have no way of verifying that only season ticket holders are using the code without doing some cross referencing after an order is placed, which would take time and effort.

My guess is they got a lot of orders all of a sudden from people spamming to get free ear buds and put this $50 minimum in place to protect themselves. Sucks that they are doing it and probably should have thought of a better way ... i.e., give a pair in the box sent to members.

yea instead of the generic code each card should of had a unique number/ letter code to input.

Reminds me that Amex occasionally mails out codes for "Free" or discounted purchases at some online store to select card members, and never (in my experience) makes the codes unique. So as soon as the first recipients get their mailing someone posts the code on Reddit, and before most of the intended recipients get their mailing the code is invalid or every item anyone would want is sold out. This has happened to me at least twice.

Oh well. I guess I missed it.

Thanks for the clarity though. Feels good to know it wasn't tech incompetence.

In the past I remember getting a scarf, pin, card, lanyard, etc. for each ticket on the membership.
Is that not the case anymore?

they used to include a card and lanyard for each ticket when the card was the actual ticket to be scanned. Since they went all-electronic a few years ago, now the package only includes one card and lanyard.

got an email today with unique codes to activate the blue cards.

i haven't tried it yet, but my first thought is, how does that work? lol. wasn't the point of the blue cards to give to random strangers so they can go to the game? will have to give it a try later. if anyone has done it already, please report what "activation" actually does.

I could be wrong, but aren't the blue card benefits and the ticket passes separate things? Passes - give to someone else. Blue card benefit - use for yourself.

Very open to being corrected, however.

blue cards were the club's take on giving a card in a game. to a stranger. they used to have the unique codes on them with instructions. but this year they didn't do that for some reason?

ETA: JLABS ear buds.

for those who were able to get the free ear buds before they added/raised the minimum order requirements, my ear buds shipped last night. Coming from NV and are scheduled to arrive on Friday.
