Oh the classic, "I'm considering MLS" so don't short change me tactic. Great agent work, great trap falling by Twellman!
Think he could do really well in MLS. I could see him going to Kansas City based off the secondary rumors coming out the Ronaldo hunt.
I loved him for Chelsea. Holds the ball up extremely well, happy to get assists if that’s what’s needed and a great clubhouse guy who is always desperate to win. And as we saw in the WC, he can still bang them in at a high level.

I would be thrilled with this.
+1the guy works hard for sure. but a lot of our style is pressing from the front. i don't think he has the legs to do that.
The guy was starting for France in the WC. I’m sure we could figure out a way to use him that helps our team.I’ve never watched Giroud play, but I will say that styles can be changed. Especially at the beginning of seasons. Just because Torrent and then to an even larger extreme Diela, used a strong press from the front, doesn’t mean that that will be Nick’s style. If I remember correctly during the summer months (when the team wasn’t playing all the great) Nick did change how and when the team pressed. While I’m not saying that’s how I would have played the team, Nick did make changes. With an entire preseason we could see some stylistic changes that could work to the play of Giroud.

David Villa…? I guess he was more of a wingerHe would be the most accomplished pure 9 we've ever had, by a mile. OTOH, it would have to be a "win now" strategy, and not building towards the future.
Any thoughts on Isco? He recently left Sevilla by mutual agreement as a free agent. As I recall, the last time we needed a 10 we signed a 30 year old with top league experience.
I am not overly familiar with La Liga, but he had success there. If the team wants to keep the model of veteran spine and under-20 South American wingers and midfielders around that spine, he would fit the profile.
Isco is incredibly talented, especially in terms of keeping the ball and dribbling through traffic. He is probably not dynamic, fast or intense enough for the top leagues but he would probably shine in MLS the way Pozuelo does. IMHO they are pretty similar players, although Isco once had the truly elite upside. I mean, he was a starter for the 2018 WC team and for Real Madrid. If he truly wanted to come and be fit he could give us 3 years of absolute elite talent, but we would have to build the team around him.I like the thought and see the fit (veteran spine and youth on the wings) but not sure why Isco would want to come to MLS
The whole team is turning over — who knows what the style will be.the guy works hard for sure. but a lot of our style is pressing from the front. i don't think he has the legs to do that.
