NYCFC won’t get a number 9 but will release a shiny stadium survey for the fans to complete to pacify the fan base about not getting a 9 and will place the fans comments in the bottom of their draw. Which I get as they are the ones paying for the stadium. but I appreciate the team making the effort.Transfer window closes in less than a week, April 24.
I'm not completely sold that Santi is best as a CAM.What happens if Ladezma is a better CAM than Santi?
Lol, they rewrote the article after my QT and left a comment.I'm pretty sure this HRB article is 100% wrong about how the transfer deadline works for international transfers.
Transfer Window Deadline: Will NYCFC add a striker by Monday?
The MLS transfer window at midnight on Monday, April 24 — but New York City might not be in a rush to sign new players before then.hudsonriverblue.com

I think he's performed best when operating as a pseudo-10, but from out on the wing, pinching in.
THIS.All that being said, we still don't have anyone on the field to truly control the tempo. We are still very much go go go with no one to take the time and dictate the pace of the game and direct traffic. we really miss maxi for that.

It puts our roster in a weird spot if our best lineup turns out to be Santi on the wing and Ladezma in the middle. We are stuck benching Gabby or Magno. The more I watch the team the more I think we'd be better off selling Magno and using his DP spot to get a true #9.

You're completely right.
The thing is, if we do add a true #9, one of Magno, GP, New 9, Santi, or Ledezma is left out of the starting XI
There's the injury consideration, too. Richy has to show he can stay out there. You're completely right.

I finally watched the (first half of) Nashville game. Dam, that looked and sounded like so much fun. Of course, I was out of town and missed out. There's the injury consideration, too. Richy has to show he can stay out there.
But man, you can see what the kid can bring. It's going to be really tough to keep him off the pitch. If he starts again on Saturday and we tear Dallas up (which we might), Nick is going to have a traffic jam on his hands.
The Sands/Parks/Ledezma midfield clicked like nobody's business. It looked to me like Richy filled in the missing piece. Like you said, it's just one game, but I'd love to see Nick run them out there together again on Saturday and see if it happens again. One game, but Ledezma looks like he brings something extra.
My inside sausages are telling me to keep an eye open for Birk Risa.
Risa is a 6'2", 25 yo CB who plays for Norwegian club Molde FK.
Fee will be about $1 mil (or whatever 800K Euros equates to).
