My mistake about mix I really shouldn't post about someone I no nothing about.surprised you would rate him higher than lampard or villa but unfortunately you are going on past glories for these two.lampard has hardly played since Xmas and when he has he's been very poor, maybe the fuss has unsettled him.?Well, assuming they aren't lying, I have an XL authentic blank that will actually be here on time. It's coming in tomorrow.
That is actually pretty funny. Well done.
Going back to your prior post, I don't think it's fair to call people glory-hunters for getting Mix (or any player really). First, that term doesn't really exist in America. We call people who start claiming a team when they are doing well "bandwagon-ers" or "bandwagon fans". Secondly, Mix is a bit of exactly what you were saying about being the hard-working guy, but because of his ability to connect with fans, propensity to play with a little "flair" that most Americans don't use, and his incredible hair, he's a fan-favorite. Lots of people here called for him to be signed well before Lampard or Villa.
As for wearing a shirt with someone else's name on it, I can see it either way. I just figure if I'm going to wear the shirt, I might as well represent my favorite player. I generally don't wear sports jerseys, but I don't mind soccer shirts because they look like an actual shirt. As a grown man, I would never wear an American football or basketball jersey. I will wear a soccer jersey. I would maybe wear a baseball shirt, but I haven't since I hung up the spikes.
All that being said, if it's not game day at the stadium or watching the game at home or the bar, I would not wear a soccer or any other sports jersey. I notice people in NYC doing it, but even though I've lived here a long time, I was raised in the South, where college football is king. If you are a grown-ass man and wear a jersey in that environment, people will think you're either a douchebag wannabe or a wal-mart shopping "sidewalk" fan (which is probably close to what you call a "plastic"). Those norms mostly stuck with me, so I get where you're coming from.
What I like about the nycfc is its a chance to follow something from the start so no one can be a glory hunter just yet.
Over at city we went 34 years without winning anything so we know all about being shit .cfg came in and made us champions and cup winners in a short time exactly what will happen to you guys after a shaky start .
At least I carnt be a plastic NYC fan as I've seen you play already
