Lick your wounds and go out and win the damn thing. Exorcise the playoff demons.
Then win MLS 2021.

We're probably going to have no more than six weeks between the end of CCL and the start of preseason. You use this game (or 3 games, hopefully) as a springboard for 2021. That's the right way to handle it. I can't imagine any first team player, after they take a few days to lick their wounds after Saturday, will ask out of the CCL resumption.

The only way I see guys getting held out is if someone is nursing a minor injury and they'd rather not risk it with preseason coming so soon.

Despite this team's history, I usually find it easy to go into a tournament with optimism. But I will be legitimately shocked if we make a run in CCL this year. We can beat any of these teams, but I don't see us beating three of them in a row. We just don't score against quality competition. I had hoped that the goal flurry at the end of the season meant something other than bad opponents, but then we reverted to no goals from open play against Orlando. Our top 2 scorers from 2019 are hurt or gone, and frankly #1 played like he wasn't here when he was healthy.

Rank the MLS East by Goals Against. NYC's opponents when scoring 2 or more goals ranked: 4, 9, 10, 11 (2x), 12 (2x), 13, and 14. The top half of the table held NYCFC to 0 or 1 goals every game but one. I don't see how that suddenly changes for three games straight, and I doubt we can manage 3 consecutive clean sheets.

They manage it cause Ronny is going to channel his inner Klopp and get this team humming.
Whooooooo!

Tinnerholm on Instagram said they’re going to put these guys in a bubble again

Tigres got eliminated yesterday in liga mx playoffs, offensively they were lacking lots and at times looked almost disinterested, there is alot of discomfort in fanbase with their coach. nycfc totally has a shot going up against them but nycfc has to really come out motivated.

good thing we have all that time off and our Best player saying he doesn’t want to bubble again.

Broadcast still to be determined but it will be on Fox Sports in English language...

10:30PM? FOH

Tigres fans want to be able to watch too, probably. I think that makes sense to some degree. though I'd think 9:30 makes a lot more sense for that sort of compromise...

i figure they would start it at 7 for first game since no fans will be in attendance, then have other start 9:30 ish. i guess since technically this was supposed to be tigres home game they will accommodate for their fans. still, 10:30 is way late and 9:30 local time in monterrey for a cup that their own fans seem to not give a crap about.

I was snooping around the Tigres fan forum and found this post:
