Did I read that wrong or were you implying PSG is in Serie A?

I could be wrong, but my guess is that the author was not implying that PSG is in Serie A.

I think the reference being made is that PSG has acquired players from Serie A teams (e.g., Motta, Verratti, Sirigu), and through the transfer fees pumped a lot of funds into the league, inferring that these funds have been used to markedly improve Serie A sides.

Oh yeah! Pumping money into the league. I never thought of it that way. Similar to how Chelsea's spending in the beginning pumped a lot of money into the Portugese league.

Correct. Paris SG cannot possibly be in Serie A but the money they have spent there has made a difference.

Here is more or less the deals

Edinson Cavani Napoli £57M
Marquinhos AS Roma £28M
Thiago Silva AC Milan £37M
Ezequiel Lavezzi Napoli £26M
Zlatan Ibrahimovic AC Milan £19M
Marco Verratti Pescara £11M
Salvatore Sirigu US Palermo £4M
Jeremy Menez AS Roma £7M
Mo Sissoko Juventus £7M
Thiago Motta Inter £10M
Javier Pastore US Palermo £37M

Who is in Europe this season from Italy? Juventus, Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina, Inter, Torino.
7 clubs have benefitted to various degrees and 4 of them are in Europe. Co-incidence?

Chelsea couldn't best PSG with a extra man at home, way way too cautious. PSG wanted it more, Arsenal and Man City are all but out going away on the second legs. Expect one of the two Spanish Giants or Bayern taking home the cup this season.

Arsenal putting on a show this afternoon vs Monaco. They're up 2-0 with about 5 minutes to go and they could have had a couple more. Agg is 3-3 and right now Monaco goes through on away goals.

Tough break for Arsenal as Monaco hangs on and goes through.

Atletico Madrid--Leverkusen going to PK's!

One of the worst penalty shootouts I've ever seen haha THREE over the bar for Leverkusen.

MCFC vs Barcelona kicks off in a few minutes on FOX Sports 1. Will that missed PK by Messi at the very end of the 1st leg come back to haunt Barcelona?

Borussia Dortmund vs Juventus on FOX Sports 2.

Two just to send the game into extra time.

What a pass by Messi to Rakitic to give Barca a 1-0 lead in the 31'.

So MCFC's in the same boat as Dortmund? 3 Spanish, 2 French, 1 German, 1 Italian and 1 Portuguese club could advance. I can't remember the last time an EPL team did not make the quarterfinals.

Best league in the world? Or more accurately Best advertised league. More hype than substance.

Messi is putting on a clinic. Milner is still looking for his jock. City very fortunate they're only down 0-1 at the half.

2012-2013 i think, the year it was Dortmund/Bayern in the final.
