This should be interesting... Break for world cup but still have leagues cup?
MLS to take summer break for '26 World Cup
Major League Soccer plans to take a break during the 2026 season to accommodate the World Cup to avoid incomplete rosters throughout the competition.www.espn.com
I think this is the wrong call. The attention of the country will be heavily on soccer at that time. The best bet for MLS is to play games, but time them so that they don't conflict with any World Cup matches. Let people enjoy the international games and then stick around to watch MLS later that night - or something along those lines.
I hope the Leagues Cup eventually turns into being scheduled the way the FA Cup is scheduled. One week a month is Leagues Cup, then you play the rest of your schedule around it. I really hate an entire month of summer is taken by this so that we have 6 home games in March and April, and only one league home game in July and August.

That's still a problem though. Don't really want to go to matches in February when it's 10° and windy at the stadium or have the MLS Cup in December.extend the season start or end
I can remember a good MLS Cup in December. That's still a problem though. Don't really want to go to matches in February when it's 10° and windy at the stadium or have the MLS Cup in December.
DC without Benteke due to red card and they already down to 10 men tonight bs Red Bull. RB equalizes with a penalty.
NE and Columbus also tied 1-1
Best part was it started with Thiare stealing a sip from the keeper's water bottle. I'm not even sure if that was part of a plan, or if he did that and then went, "hey wait a minute."What the heck was that in Atlanta. Wow. Thiaré was just lurking behind the keeper, not a soul on Toronto noticed him.
