This aged too well after that lovely PK showing from him and his teammates in Philly. And he only has 1 penalty goal in MLS in 2021.

RSL is great at #contentNot playoffs specific nor is it our social media team so I thought this was the right place for this. (Don’t hurt me Lion)
I thought this was a really creative post that RSL put out today. For those who don’t have Spotify, this is how Spotify layout’s everyone’s music for the year.

New ball for 2022. Looks cool. Much more unique than years past.
Very different than the United States/Canada themes in previous years. It's like...groovy.View attachment 11627

So the state of the league address is happening right now.
Someone asked "Had RSL beaten portland, the game would have been at YS. what do you think of that?"
and Don Garber said that he thinks we would have sold out yankee stadium had it happened.
Some other nycfc questions too about attendance and affect of MLS Cup on nycfc fanbase. Idk why they're asking these to Don Garber, but whatever
YS seats 54,000, I wonder if we'd have even gotten thatI was thinking about that, too. We would have absolutely had 45,000 fans in the house. Would have been epic. Next year, hopefully.
Probably not quite that amount just due to likely leaving some seats empty for sight line purposes. But the record for a NYCFC game was 48k for the first YS Hudson River Derby, so likely over 50k I would imagine.YS seats 54,000, I wonder if we'd have even gotten that
Agreed.carles gil named league MVP as expected.
what's less expected is taty getting so little votes. he's been integral to our success this year. yes he had a scoring drought, but his off the ball work and relentless engine and leading the press were critical to every success we had this year.
to be last in the votes under daniel shalloi... doesn't make sense to me.
New England Revolution's Carles Gil named 2021 Landon Donovan MLS Most Valuable Player | MLSSoccer.com
Club captain, assist king and the man with the magic left foot. New England Revolution midfielder Carles Gil has been named the 2021 Landon Donovan MLS Most Valuable Player, as announced Tuesday, after leading his team to their first Supporters’ Shield upon setting a new single-season points record.www.mlssoccer.com
Very similar problem with Talles Magno who always shows up as T. Bacelar Martins on the stats and lineup pages.Who gets the Club votes, Sporting Directors? And what do they see in Joao Paolo Mior? Everyone else on that list has more goals or assists alone than he has combined (14).
And someone at MLS needs to make a decision on his name. He can prefer whatever he wants, but MLS needs consistency. He's Joao Paolo on the MVP vote chart, but J. Mior on the stats page. Pick one.
Funny how the league is trending towards hiring managers with MLS experience but manager who came from Europe with no prior MLS experience won the Cup.
i think fcc are trying anything to be mid-table at this point.
EDIT: just remembered there was a rumor before that they were tryin to get curtin. so they couldn't get the head coach and so they felt desperate and went to the guy next to him.."you.. what about you? you wanna come to our club? please? we have a pretty new stadium!"
True. But going by the last decade Ronny is an outlier, with only Tata being the inexperienced (with MLS) coach.
