Taty a finalist for MVP.
I would have put Kreilach over Paulo.
you know i feel like no one really sticks out. I guess Gil is favorite?
Something that bothers me about Carlos Gil potentially winning the MVP award. Yes, New England set the most points for a single season but in terms of individual performance look at this basic comparison:you know i feel like no one really sticks out. I guess Gil is favorite?
Something that bothers me about Carlos Gil potentially winning the MVP award. Yes, New England set the most points for a single season but in terms of individual performance look at this basic comparison:
2021 Carlos Gil: 2285 minutes, 4G/18A
- Potentially first in voting?
- No real standout individual performances but a great singular team performance
2019: Maxi Moralez 2434 minutes, 7G/20A
- 4th in MVP voting behind Carlos Vela (2726 minutes 34G/15A), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2610 minutes, 30G/7A, 27G/4A)
- 2019 certainly had better individual season performances
- If Maxi put together those stats this season, would he win the MVP? (G+A leader is 28 this year, Mukhtar 16G/12A)
Following next season...Sportico is reporting Mark Abbott, President and CEO of MLS is stepping down.

And he only has 1 penalty goal in MLS in 2021.Watched the Nashville v Orlando highlights which sent me on a Mukhtar intel search.
Found it surprising (probably because I don’t know a great deal about most leagues on this planet) that he’s scored almost as many goals in his two years in MLS as he did from 214 -2019 in Poruguese, Austrian and Danish Leagues.
