That jabroni said something like “when things get crazy in games in MLS you need a veteran American center back to calm things down who knows this league”. Truly dizzying intellect.

If you can play CB, you can play CB. Who cares what color your passport is.

Not an important detail, but I noticed in all of the teams in review graphics they use the name of the location where each team is from in the photo. Oddly, our team just said New York instead of New York City so I was curious what they did for RBNY and they are the only team that says their team name/monicker “Red Bull.” Both LA teams just say Los Angeles too. The only other odd one is Austin which says Austin FC as well as DC United. Very tiny unimportant detail but I found some what entertaining.

ESPN: You once said that you wouldn't consider switching the calendar until the weather is no longer an issue for fans. Is the league any closer to that?
DG: In 2022, we're going to have our earliest start in the history of our league. The games start on Feb. 26, so we will really be pushing the envelope more than ever before.
We continue to have to manage the largest geographic region for any league in the world, and the most weather changes and time changes of any league in the world. As such, the likelihood of us playing in a dramatically different calendar is far, far, far in the future and we would only do it if we saw the value for our fans and for our competition. Today, we don't see that value.

MLS not switching to a European calendar any time soon.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this article by Sam Jones is the first time mls soccer.com has wrote into words “Hudson River Derby” instead of the “New York Derby” which I think is exciting

Is the Nicest Rivalry in Sports Montreal/Toronto? I've never heard it referred to as that.

I think it is Minnesota - SKC.
As mgarbowski mgarbowski said the nicest rivalry in sports is Minnesota and SKC. Toronto and Montreal is commonly referred to as the 401 derby because that’s the Highway that connects them
Thanks.

Granted I didn't try terribly hard, but a quick google search suggested maybe it was the Canadian teams and I thought that made sense. Though the search also referred to that one as Canadien Classique, so idk.

Facebook ad. The comments are 100% Seattle fans pissed off at seeing Timbers gear in an ad.
