Actually feeling somewhat optimistic about this. We are way over due for a positive result.
I agree with you. I am not a big Nemec fan but having him start with Villa is the right approach at this time, and Shelton coming off the bench. I just wish he didn't suck so much finishing. His presence in the air is noticeable when our backline and mids send those deep balls but his touches and shooting leave a lot to be desired.
I agree. I think this is good. Now if CFG took to the Redbulls management approach of lies, deceit, and flat out not caring type of attitude, and staying overseas, then all of a sudden making sudden and drastic changes for the worse in the offseason, then that would be worrisome.
I guarantee you this is a step of Reyna maybe leaving the org in the next 12-16 months and CFG giving Kreis full control of player moves. Kreis is not going anywhere unless he himself chickens out and gets wooed over by TFC. If TFC struggles this year and fails to make the playoffs with the likes of Jozy, Bradley, and Giovinco, they would have had two coaches, Nelson and Vanney, who absolutely would have BLOWN a great chance to make the playoffs. They seriously are a good coach from being a real force. Kreis might listen to Tim L. and the Mapleleaf Group. I think he would be great for TFC with that roster.
I wonder after his comments on Sunday if Kreis might not reward Mullins with a start tonight.
Sorry if this has been talked about already....I have very slow and unreliable internet access here in the Dominican Republic and don't want to try to load all of the pages to read through this thread....Will this game be available on MLSlive in Mexico and Canada like the ESPN matches are? I will use the Hola VPN Chrome extension to use a Canadian or Mexican IP so I can watch the match, if the sports bar at this resort can't get it.
On a side note, i've been wearing my jersey and other City gear all week here and surprisingly some of the local staff actually know of us. David Villa is quite popular, and even though I only have Mix gear, i've had locals come up to me and ask "is that Mix, on the NYC team that has David Villa?" and now a bunch of people are going to be at the "deportes palace" to try and watch the game tonight, if they can get it. If not, i'm going to have to pay an arm and a leg for the reliable internet access they offer so I can watch.

It is frustrating that for cablevison customers, channel 775 in spanish is our only option to watch this game.
Or maybe he's coming because we've played 10 games and this was scheduled months ago.
