Does anyone have experience bringing in a DSLR camera? I want to bring mine in with a wide angle prime (non-zoom) lens. Want to make sure I don't get turned back at the door!

I brought in a mirrorless Fuji with a big lens (55-200) and had no trouble. Look up the rules in the app. I think it says (1) no dedicated movie equipment (but still cameras with motion capabilities are OK), and (2) no equipment that would interfere with anyone else's enjoyment. I take that to mean no tripods, no lightstands, and no 600mm lenses.

NYCFC.com->Matchday->Stadium Policies->Camera, Video and Audio Recorders states, in part:
"cameras or cell phones with removable lenses, and any other video or audio recording equipment are prohibited."

So it's probably up to the discretion of whoever's searching your bag whether or not they allow your DSLR and lens(es) through the gate. I'm a cautious guy, so I probably wouldn't risk it with my gear.

We wore our secondary kit at NJ as well. It's just stupid. The best rivalries in the world both clubs wear their primary kits. Example: Real/Barça ok that's one example but still, like you said, it's unnecessary
