Jack Harrison to Manchester City - Official

Is that Jack right behind, between Villa and this fan?

Alex Ring and Harrison are both listed at 5'9" and Ring appears to be level with the individual behind Villa.

Unless Tommy McNamara who's also 5'9" did some plastic work this offseason, I can narrow it down to two people, Harrison or Tinnerholm who is also 5'9".

I'd actually wager it's Tinnerholm.

Found him!

so i guess callens and who ever doesnt have their visa yet are missing?
Aren’t work visas renewals fairly automatic (and for three years) if you’re with the same company?

i have no idea. i was referring to the new signings.

unless callens also has visa issues and that is why i didnt see him in the pics of video clips

If hoping this transfer falls through until the summer window is wrong, I don't want to be right.

If it doesn't happen this window, I'd worry about Stoke getting relegated and tightening the budget back up. But there would be other suitors.

Some might argue that Stoke being relegated and tightening their budget would actually encourage them to look at players like Harrison. He'd be cheap - well inside Championship budgets - and he'd have an extra year at a lower level to adjust to professional English football, which would guard against the possible risk of signing a player who may struggle in his first year at a new level.

Probably the best outcome is for Stoke to finish right above relegation and consequently base their summer spending around recruiting the best players their money can afford in the hopes of instant results - another round of Shaqiris and Bojans etc.

Think it's interesting how NYCFC seemed to make a point of including Jack in nearly every social media post they made today. Don't know what it means, but it was great to see he's still with the team, even if it's only for a few days.

Kind of a confusing rumor here. Stoke Sentinel says today the club has made a second Harrison bid after NYCFC rejected a $4.5m offer. But American sources reported this weekend that the $4.5m base offer was itself the second round after NYCFC rejected a $3m bid. So is this just a garbled version of what's already been reported or has Stoke made a third bid that's higher than $4.5m?

I just love how MLS is publishing articles on their site explaining how MLS rules are getting in the way and hindering NYC's ability to see a worthwhile benefit in the sale. Between Jack, Larin, etc., maybe some change comes about. Hell, BJK is posting insta's with Larin training in their gear, while Kreis is simultaneously saying he's an Orlando player.

MLS needs to fix their shit, or leagues will shy away from doing business here.

The Harrison thing on MLS's website is a podcast that picked up on a blog post I wrote the other day inspired by conversations on this forum and /r/nycfc. The revolution starts here!

So MLS is basing their news reporting about their own player’s rumors on a fan site that has discussed/dissected an Internet-driven blog post..... for fcks sake, that is the most mickey-mouse PR Dept ever for a non-Bush-league sports league.

Could be worse, MLS could have the NFL's Kremlin-style PR. Yeah, it'd be nice to get better info through official channels, but it's kind of cool that our fan gripes are openly discussed on league media.

From a practical operations standpoint, I wouldn't think there's much of a relationship at all between what is on the MLS website and what business is done or discussed on the competitive/soccer side.

There aren't even that many writers at MLS who aren't freelancers, best I can tell.

MLSsoccer.com operates mostly as an independent news site, which is good. They post rumors, negative news stories and critical pieces on players and coaches. They also offer editorial commentary. It's a pretty good news/opiniom/rumor site on it's own outside of official news

They could just wait for the clubs to officially announce player/coaching moves and stay silent until then, or they can publish credible rumors as they come up, often days or weeks before it's official..

The website is not a PR dept.
