Mcfc Confirms Lampard Staying In Manchester For The Season

Well folks, I'm first and foremost a Manchester City fan but I can appreciate how this must feel to you guys and I think it feels all wrong. The only positive spin that I can put on this is that it will not have been done without due regard for the interests of NYCFC. Ergo, there's been a trade and that trade will pay handsomely because Frank Lampard is your player and it would not have happened without your management being persuaded that it would pan out well for your clubs success.
I hope you can all bear the bigger picture in mind like your management team will have and I hope you can appreciate that City fans like me are with you every emotional step of the way because we're family, we're the kind of family where we look after each other and you've done us a massive favour that we'll repay ten fold and with a smile.
I hope you all have a wonderful New a Year with good health, good love and good fortune.

Thanks for the support from across the pond. Check out my City centric blog. (Cheap Plug) lol

How about this AND Mods I hope you see this and send it to the team.

The team should Sell Frank Lampard, never bring him here. Refund all the money fans have spent on Lampard merchandise, Sign Two new DPs. And Release a Statement saying they are sorry that Lampard will not be joining the team and lay the blame at his feet.

Seriously, seriously considering doing so. I've got two tickets, and the guy who has the second has told me he's pretty much ready to drop them.
I understand the disappointment and anger over this but I thought we were all NYC fans and not a fan of only one player. I do think it's a bad precedent that the possibility of this happening in the future is worrying but hopefully the uproar that is going on will let man city or sheik to think twice next time they get a DP for nycfc

That will NEVER happen.

Desperate? I don't think you know what that word means they haven't had a striker for the last three games and haven't lost one of them.
Going toe to toe with the mighty Burnley and getting a draw at home.

Nope, not desperate at all, keep your head in the sand, clown.

Speaking of the matter, Director of Football for New York City FC Claudio Reyna said,

"Frank is a star and it is no surprise that Manchester City is rewarded by his contributions on the field every single day. He is eager to get to New York once his commitment ends in England and will be available to play on arrival as a permanent member of the squad given he will come to us having played at the highest level.

We are all committed to making sure we build a winning team and that our fans get to enjoy great soccer at every single game. The opportunities open in the immediate transfer window combined with our recent successful draft ensure that we can continue to assemble a world class team that will make New York City soccer fans proud."

I'm a fan of the team, not the player. It was always going to be a bit weird supporting that Chelsea boy anyway. But it's hard to get really excited about the club if it truly is just going to be MCFC junior like this episode has demonstrated. That's a bigger concern than losing one player.

The problem is that we can't sell him. He's not our player to sell.

That's not exaggeration. He was never our player to loan or sell.

An off week. It happens. My head has never been in the sand when it comes to football, (I was going to call you something but declined to sink to your level).

I'm a fan of a club on its own merit. I didn't sign up for AAA baseball. I wasn't sold AAA baseball.

Well I'm sorry to hear that Tom because I'm a City fan who will always support all those in this family of clubs - I'll follow NYCFC on the TV so help your audience, I'll buy a NYCFC shirt so increase your direct revenue, I'll see USA citizens as fellow supporters rather than as representatives of USA foreign policy, I'll even travel to New York to cheer on NYCFC one day (it's high on my bucket list) so put money over the counter in your store and in your cafeterias . . This whole thing feels shite right now but I can understand the anger and I will support your club as I'd like you to support mine. . As equals in a family.
And a Frank is a true professional who will be a star for you and you'll love the guy. .

I don't want to see frank in NYC, I was at his press conference and that will be the beginning and the end of my support for him. CFG will find out the hard way, don't ever make NYC fans feel like they are an afterthought..

"Lampard 'signed' for New York City FC in July but with the new MLS season not starting until March, he joined Manchester City - who part-own New York City - until January. Crucially, this was not a loan deal but a short-term contract signed as a free agent. It is understood the contract was for the entire season, with a break clause that was agreed would be activated at midnight on 31 December.

City needed that break clause removed if Lampard was to remain with them, which happened on Wednesday."

Then sign two new DPs don't ever bring here and let people exchange Lampard merchandise for anyone else.
