Outstanding news! Mix became one of my favorite players in the run up to the World Cup. He's right at the top of the current crop of American talent & would be a MOST welcome addition to NYCFC. I hope it happens soon since I am a long-time Charleston Battery Season Ticket holder & can hardly wait for the teams participation in the pre-season "Carolina Challenge Cup". I already have my sky blue NYCFC scarf & t-shirt ready to go!!! I hope a bunch of y'all will 'come on down'. Charleston is a terrific place to visit & we're very proud of our pitch & facilities at the Battery.

Mix has been a tough get for MLS, I wouldn't expect anything until the end of the transfer window. Mix is going to MNT camp too, I don't know if he will continue to negotiate through that or what.

I think it's already decided. No way would he go into this camp without a contract when he has known for a long time he would be available this window.

Whether here or elsewhere, I'd bet he's already agreed to terms. If you're NYCFC, it would make sense to roll this out during camp cupcake so you're capitalizing on the attention already there.

Leak it now to ease some of the heat from us. Announce it officially when it will get you the most widespread coverage. Seems like the best way to glean maximum positive press from it.

Yeah I agree there is too much risk for him. I am guessing it's either done and their waiting to announce or numbers are worked out and they're nailing out the details. If he did play without a contract he's a fucking idiot.
