That was a dickish article. I hate when people try to do the whole "I'm so real, I hate these cool people who think they are so cool". It's the anti-hipster hipster comedy act. Makes the writer come off as a jealous jerk.

I understand the mods like to discourage duplicate threads, and I get that, but if we ever do sign Mix, I hope someone starts a new thread titled "We Signed Mix, For Real," or something like that. Because I need to stop reading this thread which is just one dumb tease after another.*

I guess that was the point of the article as well. I think he's a modern philosopher-warrior, but I've been following him a while. He's always been that way. If that annoys you, fair play. But what I don't think is the case is that he's doing it to say "look at me". Or at least not anymore so than anyone else who uses modern communication means such as Twitter and message boards. He's been doing this same stuff for years. It's just that his profile has exponentially grown, as has his audience. Add in a few public dealings such as several clubs pursuing him while he's out of contract, and the volume and intensity of attention to his every move is additionally amplified.
Would I guess that he enjoys the attention? Probably. But from having followed him and his career for a while, I think he's generally a pretty thoughtful & considered person. It's like he's blowing off steam.
I think you have the right idea. If his persona annoys you, just avoid it. That article was ridiculous though, because as someone commented there, even read tongue-in-cheek, it fails as both humor and/or indictment.
i hope it finalizes soon, i still have major doubt he is that close to signing, hopefully this back and forth ends soon with a final decision
