big win for the impact and zero away goals for RasenBallsport NJ

MLS claims our match will be on FS1, but my Time Warner schedule has FS1 showing drag racing while our match is on ESPN Deportes.

We all just sort of decided to not care how it's within rostering rules for Landon Donovan to be playing for the Galaxy, right? We've all just accepted that the intersection of Fundamental MLS Arbitrariness and Landon Legend status puts him out on the field?

Bruce Arena can basically do whatever he wants.

Dallas apparently consider themselves champions already...

This game honestly looks like its a different league. Lol

Why do people think there's an issue here? It's not like Landon is making (or deserves) DP money.

So that's part of the salary cap model. Save some dollars for the last 1/4 of the season plus playoffs. Now that we know ...

He actually is. The amount he's making for the number of games being played is simply prorated DP money.

No, it is prorated max salary number. Take the $457,500 and multiply by 8/34, and you get the $152,500 he is getting. Accordingly, LA needs neither an extra DP slot nor TAM to sign him. Also, De Jong was getting $500,000 before he was "sent off" to Turkey, so there is no question LA had the cap space.

$152k for 8 games is equal to roughly $600k for 32 games. That's DP money - not as much as he used to make but still over the threshold.

Okay, fair enough. I confess I didn't actually do the math but just went by what the article said. Even if it is higher, that might just be TAM or GAM or include the playoffs. Maybe LA just paid him whatever was left in the coffer at season's end. The point being that they didn't have to get new rules to pay him that much.

There are four matches on Sunday with (Goals scored in first leg match up)...

4 PM, ESPN: Montreal (1) at Red Bulls (0)
