Our thumping of ATL woke the Times up! You have to wonder if this was a scheduled piece, or if it came about because of the result, the performance, the heightened expectations, etc. Which also goes to the heart of the debate whether great performances without starts that would be familiar to casual fans can revert out attendace/local relevance declines

Almeyda is this close to missing the playoffs and he’d be manager of the year?
His team has lost four straight games and finishing against Seattle and at Portland.
The chances for both of those guys have faded a bit, with San Jose now in danger of missing the playoffs and LAFC retreating a bit from it's dominant start. But there are still a couple of weeks to go. If San Jose gets into the playoffs or LAFC end up breaking New Jersey's points record, those guys could easily get coach of the year.
Also, don't sleep on Adrian Heath in Minnesota.
