Perhaps it wasn´t pretty all the time.. But it was doing what must be done 
Coming off a 120 minute midweek game against a rested toronto with giovinco altidore and bradley on the field is a fantastic reisult. We are getting significant reinforcements next month. Its going to be a great second half of the season
This was great execution of a very defensive game plan. We absorbed pressure and hit on the counter. Kreis gets credit for getting everyone to buy into his game plan, including villa. Dv was all over there place, even defending last night. Maybe that's where the golden boys come in? They helped him win over there locker room?
Is mix getting enough credit for the steal and the pinpoint through ball to McNamara on the goal?
Allen played well for stretches, but he was close to a red for handling, and is so physical he was asking for trouble a few times. Id really rather see Brovsky.
They looked to be in a flat 442 with mix as a striker on defense. Anyone see poku squeak that ball around the attacker at the end. He's got incredible ball skills.
Best, most important win of the season so far. Can't overstate how wonderful this win is. On the road, playing a better, hotter team. Go blue

I agree. He plays very well in that role, defensively. Offensively - insignificant.
That's pretty strong for a guy that is so fucking bad everyone here is sick of him.
He did have a good defensive game, though.

This game plan was playing to our strengths, defending then booting out without having to make a pass. I've never seen anyone kick it 30 feet straight up in the air as much as hernandez.
That's a good point, hopefully reinforcements will eliminate some of the situations where we've put ourselves right back under pressure because Wingert, Allen, Hernandez show no ability to take a dribble under pressure and attempt to connect with a teammate from our defensive third
Great time watching at RD. One footnote to add, in watching the scuffle after the game, it was Villa who immediately ran at Perquis and got in his way to protect his teammate (and then Saunders did the same). Love seeing these guys really scrap for one another. This experience really seems to be bonding this team together and with the fan base as well.
Sacha will play vs. us , right? Since NJ has a game in the middle of the week, he'll miss that one. It's crazy. They're going to be playing last night, Wednesday, Saturday and then again Wendesday. 4 games in 12 days.

Not yet mentioned: Poku's amazing cross field pass. Holy crap that guy has vision and chutzpah. Is anyone else drooling at the prospect of Lampard teaching Poku about scoring from the midfield and Pirlo teaching him about passing and vision?
Since everyone here cares (and by everyone, I mean no one at all), I'd like to say I'm repping NYC hard on FIFA UT this morning. Got a three match rage quit streak going.

Sadly and mistakenly they have not. I'm playing with my La Liga team. My UT NYC squad is troublesome for me to play with because there are two glaring holes: offense and defense.
