Don't mean to call you out but you can't just say things that simply aren't true. Especially when you're talking about one of my personal golden boys on this team I'm not necessarily opposed to him on the wing I just believe there are better options for us. Allow Poku!!! to enlighten you:Weaknesses or skills he has not shown yet
1. Minimal effort on defense, is mostly an attacking player.
2. Has yet to show a lot of creative passing skills during build up play.
3. Has not shown a lot of back to tge goal hold up striker skills.
Agreed on looking good as a target man, but with regard to "creative passing skills during build-up play", I wouldn't necessarily equate this to assists or switches of play. I agree that we don't see him really playing those smart 1-2s that open up clogged up midfields.Don't mean to call you out but you can't just say things that simply aren't true. 1. NYCFC vs Puerto Rico game. Crazy what an improvement a few weeks of coaching already did to this player. He played a full 90 at center mid and made such an improvement in his defensive responsibility that some analysts are calling for him to be developed into a CDM. (That's an argument in itself)
2. Second most team assists trailing Villa by 1 with a comparison of 978 minutes to Villas 2514. Has one of the highest key pass ratings on the team. Not to mention secondary assists.
3. Few examples of the skills you missed: http://www.nycfc.com/post/2015/08/2...crew-sc-kwadwo-pokus-first-goal?autoplay=true

& Countless other target man type success that didn't make it into a highlight finish.

I would disagree. We don't see him really playing, period lol. Thanks Kreis. Most see Poku for his raw strength and driving prowess towards goal. I personally value his awareness of what's around him for his success. I definitely believe he has the skills for what you define as creative passing (which is a subjective term) but haven't seen enough yet to write it off. Some would say through balls are creative passing. Some would say a trick pass is creative passing. For me the proof of his creativity is within the numbers because they don't lie. I'm not saying that while watching him he's a Xavi type of passer, but you'd be kidding yourself if you didn't notice a drastic change in our offense as soon as Poku steps onto the field. I feel he's naturally a selfless player that's very capable of passing in any form to get assists and he does so with his own flair. Time will answer everything. I can see Poku or Lampard interchangeably in either of those center spots. But One things for sure, I don't agree with Villa there. He'd get mugged and has expressed that he prefers the left.Agreed on looking good as a target man, but with regard to "creative passing skills during build-up play", I wouldn't necessarily equate this to assists or switches of play. I'm waiting for the roster to take shape before I start throwing lineups out, but I am starting to believe we will be best with a 3 man backline assuming we acquire the rumored defensive talent!
A 3-man back line needs 3 CB's - it's not a combination of CB/LB/RB or 2CB/LorRB. We just don't have the personnel to pull that off.I'm waiting for the roster to take shape before I start throwing lineups out, but I am starting to believe we will be best with a 3 man backline assuming we acquire the rumored defensive talent!
From worst defense in the league to a 3 man backline? yeah babyI'm waiting for the roster to take shape before I start throwing lineups out, but I am starting to believe we will be best with a 3 man backline assuming we acquire the rumored defensive talent!

FIFYYeah, Matt Doyle has beenhintingmaking wild guesses at someone throwing out a 3-5-2 this season to suppress all the big number 10's, but don't drink his kool aid.
