I have 3 episodes left and agree with your opinion. Anything I can do to avoid the episode 9 problem?
Don't have a specific technical fix but just know that the episode isn't over until there are credits on a black screen. I missed the entire final scene of episode 9 until I came back to watch the finale and got a "Resume episode 9" option. In spite of trying to watch 9 to the end twice at the time.

Thanks. I was concerned the preview tile for the episode was a spoiler..

Rings of Power season 2, two episodes in: after not doing much in the first season, this show is suddenly doing SO MUCH

Ugh. I had resigned myself to ignoring it. I was bored. LMK after you finish the season. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

The Boys.

Anyone watching this? Reminds me of Agents of Shield. Dark. No holds barred. Good action and plot twists. 4 seasons out. I'm through almost 3 and consistently eager to keep watching.

Yeah, not ready to say it's good yet, but they've opened a lot of plot points, especially after two years away from the show.

Great show. But it's much more TV-MA than Agents of Shield.

Bad Sisters. Quite enjoyable season 1. Season 2 is even a little more twisted (2/3 way through).

Also season 2 features one of our fave former players.

Severance Season 2 is so far neither equal to the first season nor a major disappointment.
Silo S2 moved things along admirably.
Reacher S3 is OK but the female lead is a played by a British actor with a terribly broad and grating Boston southie accent that makes it hard to watch.
The Gorge movie is diverting and fun enough to be worth watching if you have ATV+ but not great.
Landman is the most fun I've had from Taylor Sheridan and Billie Bob is chewing up the scenery like the pro he is.
Twenty years ago, House MD asked what if Sherlock Holmes were a British doctor in America solving/diagnosing mystery ailments with no Watson but a bunch of young doctors. In 2025, Watson asks what if we ripped off House MD with a Watson and no Holmes. Gave up after 2 episodes. It turns out I no more want to watch Holmes without Holmes than I wanted to watch Batman without Batman (Gotham). A shame because it's produced by the Elementary team, which I'm rewatching on Hulu and enjoying even more than the first run.

I wonder if I should give this another try. Wife and I got through 3 episodes I think and just found it bland.
Elementary? At its heart it is an old style major network episodic mystery show, a little on the quirky side so a bit like Monk or The Mentalist, but IMO the best writing of that lot and time period, and spends less time winking at the audience. What really sets it apart IMO is the relationship between Holmes and Watson. It's among the very best depictions of non-romantic love between unrelated friends, and it develops over time. I also think Jonny Lee Miller is superb in the role and Lucy Liu nearly as strong. I'm on S3 of my rewatch. With seven seasons and 150+ episodes, there's also inevitably some variance in episode quality.
