San Jose - Postmatch

Love your post, except for this.

Berget is just so one dimensional. I just don't know what that dimension is .for me, Isi would be a better back up for Villa. Or Medina.

Mls may just be at a point where a berget is only a last gasp sub.

I'm not totally giving up on him. But it's close-ish.
Yeah Berget is... there... not good. Isi is great on the ball.. BTW Maxi is fantastic... he does everything and makes this team go. He needs more LOVE.....

Calm down. It's March.

Somebody post the standings from the end of last March with Orlando in first. Kreis is a genius!!!

Tinny is the best outside back in MLS. Ever.
You obviously forget Calle. For shame.

ETA: and Brosky. That one, too. Shame on us both.

Btw, go look at Brosky’s MLS resume. He was like a proxy of knowing you would suck. Sign Jeb, you likely suck. Like worst in the league suck. Not a little suck.

But that sucks. He seems like a great guy. But you know, doesn’t help defend against anyone. He was so, so bad. And my first year tix allowed me the perfect perspective to see it.

Pretty much expected this from Tinny but still enjoying watching it plenty.

ISI is the surprise definitely went under the radar as far as the new signings went and looks like he'll be as important as anyone.

Awesome to see us being able to get it done without Villa but please please come back song captain our captain. I do think we need to try to find another faster more technical striker in case his injuries prove to be nagging , Berget bring something different to the table but is clearly not going to bring the goals required to really lead the line.

- Medina's got some serious skills but beating guys 1:1 is not in his tool kit yet which is fine because his movement and passing are both amazing

In the second half when the Quakes had every man and his dog up the field and were ripe for a counter, every time Berget had the ball I was covering my eyes because you knew he’d screw up.

When Medina finally got a similar chance it was “finally! Someone will do something with this”. His passing is what has impressed me the most so far.

Couldn’t stop laughing tonight when Twellman announced that NYCFC has 5-6 guys all legitimately vying for the starting attacking positions and included TMac as one of them. Not that I think Twellman is erudite with his commentary to begin with, he likes to hear himself pontificate, but adding TMac in to the equation, considering his 18 minutes (once over five matches) looked horrendous, just reeks of no research while touting the company/league line. His point would have been legitimate without Tommy, but laughable with.

Tinnerholm/Salaam > White
Those two guys alone make this team so much better. Great to see us upgrading where we were soft last year and adding depth.
Tajouri is amazing. So much energy and great footwork. Needs to keep the job and start for us every game he can.
Maxi had a great game. I had to stream this one as well while at work and misssd a good amount of it. Have it recorded and will rewatch tomorrow. Thank you LionNYC LionNYC for taking care of chat/Postmatch.

Three Things Involving Moralez:

How was that not called a penalty? Looked clear his leg was taken out as the San Jose player fell. And how did it not go under video review?

Has to make that goal in the 90+3' especially as he's by the keeper. Must close out it out. Take the extra second and lift your head up.

Moralez given a yellow card for time wasting for throwing the ball on the field after it went out of bounds for the goal kick? And then an extra minute is added to the game? The "time wasting" didn't take a minute. Terrible referring on the day.
