Special Event Nov 13th

Oh man. We have really differing opinions, man. I think Arsenal has the ugliest kits in the PL this year. The tops are extremely tight while the shorts are really baggy. Bummer because their home kit last year from Nike was beautiful.

Look at the Newcastle kit from Puma. Horrid. Like the green and blue one. How did someone "design" that and think, "this is perfect!"??

The tightness of the kit has nothing to do with the overall design which is what we are ultimately talking about. The authentics are made to hug the body. Regardless of your opinion on how it looks on a player the "store bought" ones are not like that.

The last few Nike designs have been absolutely horrid and far from traditional (which is what another poster claimed). Black hoops around the sleeves, purple away kits and the like are far from traditional. I couldn't be happier with Arsenal's kit this year. It's sharp, has the right colors (red with white sleeves, yellow away) and does away with all the other nonsense.

I will agree that Newcastle's kits are pretty bad.

As for Warrior, they're the joke of the league for sure. Terrible design all around.

Not sure which black hoop design you're talking about, but I think the purple away kit you're talking about it City's. i'll agree they're not great, but it's A) a third kit, which City may wear once B) part of a series of all of the Nike teams which have highlighter color third kits. I'm not a fan of that style of design but I'm ok with experimenting on the third kit, since it's mostly there to sell more kits especially for a team like City who rarely needs to shed their light blue in the first place. A good third kit (like City's last year, now the basis for Melbourne) is nice, but innovations and experiments should happen there, so can't be too mad when they don't quite work.

Not the case with Puma. That kit is awful. Puma is legitimately pretending that the tightness of the shirt enhances athletic ability. Putting that aside, you still have odd white stripes that come up from the sleeve and make a kind of yoke on the shoulders. It's awful.

These are the ones I'm referring to. The blue hoop on the sleeve was horrendous (I still bought it because I'm a sucker). Regardless, it's all a matter of opinion in the end. Consensus from most Arsenal fans and people who enjoy kit design seems to be in agreement though for the most part: http://www.footballshirtculture.com/14/15-Kits/arsenal-2014-2015-puma-home-football-shirt-kit-a.html

You are undervaluing the size of Under Armour. It is a pretty massive brand. Obviously not Nike or Adidas, but certainly not the "joke" you claim them to be.

Warrior is rebranding to New Balance. I don't care much for their Liverpool kits, but the one's for next year don't look so bad.

Are those jerseys official?

Other than the fold over collar in the away kit, I don't see anything horrendous about these. Amazing, no, but not that bad either.

Just got this in an email from NYCFC. Light blue number on a black or dark blue jersey...

My money is on this colorway for the home jersey. Navy blue for the shirt, and light blue for the numbers, stripes and additional elements, with maybe a small touch of orange somewhere. I'm convinced.

Don't think that's a preview, as the new jerseys would not have the old MLS logo. Think that's just a mockup they did to promote the face on a number thing.
Didn't even consider that. You are probably 100% correct.

Can they just give us some ACTUAL teasers now?

I know, it's terrible. I just hope they won't make these the only versions you can buy.

If the MLS wants to be taken seriously they need to stop the mickey mouse parade. If a club wants to do it on fan appreciation day or some awful promotional day fine. Their marketing department is awful.

The orange might be that horizontal line on the back below the neck that this year's adidas jerseys have

I recall the MLS announcement of the photos on the kit numbers said it was just for the month of August 2015.. Not sure if the case is different for NYCFC because of the inaugural season.

The meaning of the word August is Majestic Dignity... that is now gone.

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't think the graphic was a teaser. Black back drops are pretty common in advertisements. Every team that is participating (so far) in this program uses the same graphic with a black backdrop.

Black and light blue would look really nice though.

from the mlssoccer.com website:
Each MLS club will make this initiative available to a specific number of qualifying season ticket holders, who will be sent an email providing them access to a portal on the club’s website. Once there, those fans will then be able to select the number (0-9) and the location within that number to upload their picture in the same manner in which they would pick seats on a airline flight.
Fans will also have the opportunity to customize jerseys and additional merchandise with these special numbers at their club’s official stadium store.
Specific details of individual MLS clubs’ activation of this unique program will be released by the clubs in the near future.
