They said we'd hear back AFTER Nov. 7. I'm pretty sure they're checking the RSVP list with the Founding Members list to make sure people didn't cheat (which they did). They'll email everyone who is actually a founding member and you'll confirm. Then they'll open it up again to other Founding Members who were shut out originally because of the "cheaters."
I think mailing 5-10 a day and me being the last person would hardly qualify as sweat shop labor. Hell, I figure I'm one of only 5 folks who don't have a title, so there shouldn't have been that many folks to mail things to.
I'm still waiting and half-expecting to get a renewal notice from them before I actually get any membership materials.
They did reimburse me for one of my bus trip tickets really quickly. I still can't believe they offered a refund at all. The fact that I thought they shouldnt have done that is the only reason I didnt ask for the rest of my rebate.
But fuck it all for them costing me my only shot to see LD before his retirement (this is tongue in cheek, I know TR didn't control ALL the lanes of traffic. They could have gotten a bus with an ezpass though). I bought 1st row for turkey because I thought it might be his last WC (thanks der klinsy). For CT, I bought 2nd row. Taking $30 back for a bus trip was pretty much a fucking joke. I appreciate them trying to do something for folks, but they should have kept the money to cover costs.
Also, if nothing else, the $30 was worth it to confirm that I am glad I won't be sitting with them. Peace, love and TR4LIFE!!!11!1!1

Nothing yet here, no RSVP or stuff yet....I'm sure it they will all show up, always had a positive experience with TTR
I am fairly new here but have 4 season tickets and plan on joining TTR at the Special Event nov 13th( which is what this tread is about)
the TR is run by a bunch of volunteers. one of my best friends who i work with goes to school with 1 of the guys that started it HE IS A 20 SOMETHING IN COLLEGE give them a break.

I've met 5 of the TR board members that I know of and those 5 guys are all grown ass men in their upper 20s or 30s who I believe are doing a fine job under the circumstances. By "circumstances" I mean having over 1,000 paid members in just a few short months which I think may have overwhelmed them a bit before they were able to get everything organized and up & running.
As for the USMNT match in CT, I was on the second TR bus that never made it 5 miles outside of the city before we turned around. Bad traffic was anticipated but nothing like that. That was like the perfect storm of bad traffic.
I'm busting balls man. You're sort of new here and I haven't been around much, so you probably haven't yet picked up that my posts are usually ironical, condescending or self-deprecating. Sometimes, I even go for the trifecta all in one post.
Also, if the kid doesn't have time to stuff envelopes in college, he's doing something wrong.
