So I know we're like 8 MD's too early for this but...
1) We were so wrong about Augsburg.
2) We were soooOOOoooOOOooo wrong about Bremen, and honestly I'm kinda surprised. Then again, they rely on a 41 year old Pizarro so idk what I expected really. Rashica I thought would have been way better than he is.
3) We were pretty accurate with the Mainz/Paderborn/Frankfurt, Dusseldorf predictions.

Finally, I just want to point out that Schalke is hovering around 6-11th place... Pretty much what I predicted for them.

Looking towards the final matchdays, and seeing the performances after the return, here's my prediction for how it will end up:

1. Bayern
2. Dortmund (This will come down to Dortmund vs Bayern. If Dortmund can win it, I think they'll take the title. Otherwise, it's going to Bayern.
3. Leverkusen
4. Leipzig
5. Monchengladbach
6. Wolfsburg
7. Schalke
8. Koln
9. Hertha Berlin
10. Freiburg
11. Hoffenheim
12. Augsburg
13. Frankfurt
14. Union Berlin
15. Bremen
16. Mainz
17. Dussleldorf
18. Paderborn

Gonna be a really weird relegation battle this year.
Mainz run-in (bold = within 3 places):
Leipzig - Union Berlin - Hoffenheim - Frankfurt - Augsburg - Dortmund - Bremen - Leverkusen

Dusseldorf run-in:
Koln - Schalke - Bayern - Hoffenheim - Dortmund - Leipzig - Augsburg - Union Berlin

Bremen run-in (game in hand):
Frankfurt - Freiburg - Monchengladbach - Schalke - Wolfsburg - Paderborn - Bayern - Mainz - Koln

Mainz faces four teams in the relegation struggle zone. Dusseldorf are about to get rammed up the back, so Bremen has a really good chance to catch up if they pull their shit together.
So, ignoring my initial table predictions which were, er, wildly inaccurate (other than... Schalke being 12th place! Keith Putnam Keith Putnam ), I'm gonna review this revised standings I made with 8 MDs to go :)

Conclusion:
...Don't ever take my prediction advice!
Prediction with 8md remaining (actual)Actual
1. Bayern (0)1. Bayern
2. Dortmund (0)2. Dortmund
3. Leverkusen (-2)3. Leipzig
4. Leipzig (+1)4. BMG
5. BMG (+1)5. Leverkusen
6. Wolfsburg (-1)6. Hoffenheim
7. Schalke (-5)7. Wolfsburg
8. Koln (-6)8. Freiburg
9. Hertha (-1)9. Frankfurt
10. Freiburg (+2)10. Hertha
11. Hoffenheim (+5)11. Union Berlin
12. Augsburg (-3)12. Schalke
13. Frankfurt (+4)13. Mainz
14. Union Berlin (+3)14. Koln
15. Bremen (-1)15. Augsburg
16. Mainz (+3)16. Bremen
17. Dusseldorf (0)17. Dusseldorf
18. Paderborn (0)18. Paderborn

Here's my predictions;
1. Dortmund
2. Bayern
3. Leipzig
4. Bremen
5. Leverkusen
6. Augsburg
7. Wolfsburg
8. Köln
9. Hertha Berlin
10. Monchengladbach
11. Schalke
12. Frankfurt (loss of Jovic & Haller hurts)
13. Düsseldorf
14. Hoffenheim
15. Freiburg
16. Union Berlin
17. Mainz
18. Paderborn

Bremen is essentially mimicking Frankfurt from 2 years ago, making a decent run in the cup and in the League, then tired the next season, as you noted as well. I hope Sargent can get and cement his place as a striker for them.
ACTUAL:
1. Bayern
2. Dortmund
3. Leipzig
4. Mönchengladbach
5. Leverkusen
6. Hoffenheim
7. Wolfsburg
8. Freiburg
9. Frankfurt
10. Hertha Berlin
11. Union Berlin
12. Schalke
13. Mainz
14. Köln
15. Augsburg
16. Bremen
17. Düsseldorf
18. Paderborn

I clearly thought way too highly of Augsburg and Bremen, and not well enough of Hoffenheim and Freiburg. Schalke had hope but after the COVID return just played terribly. I wonder if Wagner is given another chance or Schalke call it quits on him. Both Berlin teams had an interesting year (finish with same point total- 41), with Hertha going through the chaos of being managed by Klinnsmann, signing a bunch of players he wanted, then hjim quitting the team (only for them to perform better after he left). Union had a solid showing of their working class roots in their first ever BuLi season.

Promotion/Relegation:
Hamburg only needing a point against a mid table club at home and somehow managing to lose and miss out on a promotion playoff with Bremen, oh Hamburg. Bremen pulling out a 6-1 win (Sargent with a goal!) to jump over Düsseldorf on the last day was incredible too!

Bremen v. Heidenheim for the promotion playoff 7/2 and 7/6 at 2:30PM EST. I'm hoping Bremen pull through and Sargent is able to score some.

I stand corrected! There's clearly some nonsense going on at that club these days.

Been happening for years apparently - I've been doing some snooping and I've found it's due to their President Tonnies.

As much as I want Bremen (bc sargent) to win, I want to see Heidenheim in the Bundesliga. Keep the streak of "team beat hamburg out to top 3 in final day and got promoted for the first time in history" streak going :p
...That being said, it's not going to happen and I hope Pizarro gets a chance once Bremen are already up like 4-0 and he can score one final goal before he retires (bringing his total consecutive years scored in the Bundesliga to... all)
