Bundesliga was fantastic today. Caught the last 15 of Dortmund b Frankfurt and Monchengladnach v Freiburg and then most of Bayern v Leipzig. Great soccer.

Dortmund fired Favre.
I’m seeing chatter among Dortmund fans that that would like to see Jesse Marsch take over.
About time for them. That much young talent and potential was being drained under Favre. I've seen the Marsch rumors as well, would be nice to see him at a big club like BVB. I think they would do well with talent like Reyna, Haaland, and Sancho up top.

He'd be reunited with Haaland too, right? Hopefully BVB can rise up to a more consistent level not seen since Klopp left.

EDIT: Shwafta Shwafta how do you feel about this?

Still processing ,but overall I think it's good. Don't get me wrong, Favre is a great coach. But he lost the locker room and clearly wasn't good at motivating the team. In the beginning it looked great, but over time you could just tell he wasn't the right fit. He didn't take us to that next level. Tuchel, for example, took us to heights, and though his playstyle wasn't the greatest, he did manage to get us crazy points tallies with not as good of a team. Favre has done just about the same, but with way better players - players that should be challenging Bayern for the title year-in, year-out. This year we should have been at the top right now, but for some unknown reason we lost to three teams we should have. Marsch would be an amazing fit, he plays exactly like Dortmund play. He's great at motivating. Obviously would be weird from his time at Red Bulls, but as a coach I think he's excellent, and I'll support him wherever he goes. (as long as it's not back to RB. heh.)
...However, I do doubt we'll sign him. Let's see how the temp coach does, who was Favre's assistant.

Now, on one hand I love seeing Schalke suffer. On the other hand, I don't want to see them relegated, but it's starting to look inevitable rather than a yearly joke.

It was great to see Dortmund get back to looking like their old selves.

Another game was notable for Americans. Schalke had gone 30 straight without a win. A 19-YO American, Matthew Hoppe, got the start at striker and notched the first hat trick by an American in the Bundesliga. Not Pulisic, not Reyna, not Sargent or Johannsson - Hoppe.

Happy to see them look like they might avoid relegation, sad to see that they couldn't tie or beat Berlin's record ;( Would have been such a fun stain to have on them
