jrmck2525 jrmck2525 thiughts on your squad not wanting to take any NYCFC players on loan? I guess they don't need them
i dont think this was even going to happen...PV just doesnt loan anyone to USL ...he could of placed players in wilmington last year but didnt.

He said in an article recently that he wanted to send players out and SAFC didn't want anyone

Unless PV and CR believe they get more out of training with our first team than training elsewhere and games?

I had completely forgotten about our affiliate until you bumped this thread. Do they currently have any players or coaches from our club down there?

Why even bother?
I believe MLS rules make it mandatory to have a link of some kind with a USL team. There used to be rules too that said that each team had to pass a minimum number of players to the USL affiliate on loan each season, but that clearly has fallen by the wayside in recent years.

Who knows, perhaps SAFC actually agreed to the affiliation precisely because they knew NYCFC would offer zero interference and would leave them completely alone. Maybe that was what they wanted from the partnership? It clearly hasn't hurt them, after all.
