Auto renewal is off by default. It can be turned on but the member has to do it him/herself. The email members receive says "auto" but that isn't accurate. You must renew manually.

Cool. Sorry about the confusion. That's left over language from the system default that can't be changed retroactively.

Yup. I also assumed my membership auto-renewed. Just took care of it manually. If your renewals aren't as high as you expected, you might want to send a reminder email explaining about this.

Glad I saw this thread. I assumed it went through on the first. Just did it now and flipped to Auto.
