Even worse is trying to prove I have a grand parent with no records was stripped of her citizenship. Yay me!People assume it's easy to get an EU passport with heritage, it's not. I have Irish and Italian ancestors. My grandfather was born in Italy and moved here when he was a child. He became a US citizen at some point. Because he became a US citizen, I won't be able to get an Italian passport. The Irish one is even more complex.
