Same "Navix News" bullshit. I think everything posted with that in a twitter handle/bio is fake.
Don't know how reliable this is

Still desire someone higher caliber than Maxi’s to supply ammo to the front 3. Is Kagawa available now that they have Pulisic?
Hopefully he performs a little better then RJ, TMac, and Saunders did with their contract extensions
That’s not a theory. That’s just obvious.Theory - getting a Portuguese passport had a lot to do with his age and intermediate term ambitions
Isn't any handle that has "Navix News" in the handle fake?
I don’t know if everybody has, but Bruce Arena roasted the USMNT.Ok, so the Bryan Ruiz tweet is fake and has no meaning. I get that and that dude is throwing shit. Duly noted.
That said, Bryan Ruiz has a specific set of skills. I haven’t watched him play in Europe but he has roasted the USMNT for years. He’s got some skills, but I also know that he is getting up there in age.
Cue the “everybody has roasted this USMNT” comeback from a snarky commentator.
Bobby Warshaw did a good job in the Blue City Radio podcast this past week and I thought he raised an interesting question around our goalkeeping situation.
Reyna made a comment after the draft that the guy they were targeting this year was Jeff Caldwell. He thinks that he's a guy that can push Stuver and Johnson. Specifically he made mention of Alex Bono and what he did in Toronto since being drafted later in the first round.
Warshaw talked about Caldwell being a much different type of keeper than Johnson - plays very well with his feet apparently. What if Caldwell was brought in with a nod to give him the job in a couple of years?
Where are you hearing "4 year deal"?Caldwell isn't signed yet, but he will likely sign a 4 year deal. Johnson will be 29 years old in May. Caldwell will be 22 in February.
I don't see us having a goalkeeper that's in their mid to late thirties because of how we play. So, I see Johnson being the number one for one to two more years then it really becomes a competition for the starting spot.
Wait, this math isn’t adding up. Johnson won’t be in his mid to late thirties for another 6 years at least (depending how you define that). Do we really think Caldwell will compete with SeanJohn in 2-3 years for the starting keeper spot? I sure as hell don’t (and if he does, then we hit it out of the park with the Caldwell pick).Caldwell isn't signed yet, but he will likely sign a 4 year deal. Johnson will be 29 years old in May. Also, why can’t a keeper in their mid to late thirties play in our system? I understand that our keeper needs to be great with his feet, but I don’t see how age comes into play there.
Or SJ may draw some interest/have some ambition to go to Europe and they feel the urge to develop a backup into a starter.Typically rookie contract length, at least that's what Generation Adidas players sign.
Bono is the starting keeper for Toronto two years out of the SuperDraft. And I'm just making some big assumptions. You don't pick a keeper with a 1st round SuperDraft pick when you have a guy in their late 20s just to let him rot on the bench for his entire career.
