Based on this, deila says there are no injuries. But we already know isi is unable to play ok Thurs. What's concerning is how he talks about some players like tinnerholm and maxi not playing much in preseason games but won't mention of they're injured in some way.
Tinnerholm is gonna need fitness to play the way he does. Same with maxi. I'm not sure I'd deila is being secretive about injuries or if he's going overboard with the fitness and injury management.
He might miss too much time at the Olympics (if selected) to get 20 goals, but he can match Heber's production last year, which would be really impressive for a 21yo forward.
If he can stay onside.

Could just be me, but I haven't seen GMS pop up in any of the recent preseason videos or photos....... could he be nursing an injury too?

Well that makes sense considering we've played a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 for the vast majority of the last four years.

His most recent media call was played on Blue City Radio this week (of the voices I could recognize, Mike Anderer of BCR obviously, Glenn Crooks etc., among others) I was actually intrigued by his pragmatism. Unlike maybe some early moments with Vieira where it was super rigid, Deila seems flexible. Both because he’s only been with the team a very short time, and there’s been so much inconsistency in player minutes during preseason because of international duty and call-ups. He wants to put out the best XI possible for Leg 1 but I also think he wants to be careful about risking injuries. So if he doesn’t have the personnel to play a preferred formation or style, I think he’ll go with what works based on availability.
Also reading between the lines, I thought it means we might not see Maxi on Thursday
